I totally agree only I would take it back 32 years to when I saw them at the Civic Auditorium in San Francisco for the War tour. That was a great show- the band was passionate about what they had to say about the bloodshed in Ireland and and their anti-war, anti-nationalist stance and they went out and played hard. And there wasn't a lot of big overblown glitzy stage design bullshit. Just the band, their gear and some lights. Great show that was!

did you see the ATYCLB tour?
nothing fancy about that tour at all...

No, did not. I like some of the stuff on that record. Without the frills, I'm guessing those were some good shows. Did you go?

that tour brought me back into why i was a fan in the first place. saw 5 shows
the next tour(HTDAAB) also had minimal lights etc as well
these new shows are back to the smaller arenas. its been 10 years since then
also 360 tour part2 was FAB++ as they were celebrating AB's 20th anniversary
get back on the bus man. u will wonder why u left

Might have to take a closer look at what the lads have been up to. Thanks!

I have never seen U2 and if Bono keeps riding his bike as well as he does this might be the last chance to do so.

I'm looking forward to it. I really don't care much for anything off their last 2-3 albums but I do want to see them at least once. And I was surprised too as my assumption of insane ticket prices was very inaccurate. I bought $90 tickets. I don't need to be beside Bono on stage but "decent" seats to see (arguably) one of the greatest bands ever is a price I don't mind one bit paying.

Did you go night one or night two? Apparently the band are saying they want to experiment with completely different experiences between the first and second nights!

I bought night two. I wanted to buy night two U2 and night one Foo Fighters and have back-to-back nights off from work for concerts. Now I just need to get Foo's tickets tomorrow to make that happen.

    Presale codes work perfectly.
Yesterday my husband and his friend got the opening dates in Vancouver and today we have secured our Glasgow tickets.
We've paid a lot in these years for renewing the subscriptions but it was worth it.

Got Vancouver I with the presale, going for Vancouver 2 on Monday. I'm still not sold on Songs of Innocence, but at the end of the day it's still U2 live and at some point they'll play "Where the Streets Have No Name," and those two things alone make them worth seeing.

Also: while I realize this tour won't (or can't) be quite as spectacular, 360 was one of the greatest concertgoing experiences of my life, especially the two times I was in the inner circle (including the final show in Moncton).

Presale code is unique and only given to you if you are fan club, just like ten club? Otherwise spread the love here please
  • One unique code that can be used one time. There's no love to spread, man!

Saw them on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987... back when they were amazing. Can't say I will be disappointed if I miss out on tickets this time around.

I've seen U2 a hand full of times. They are a band I try not to miss when they come around. I've never been disappointed. one of the best shows you can see IMO. Shows from first leg of 360 and third very different and both excellent. Early show focused on new record and later show on achtung baby.

Seen the "all you can't leave behind" tour in st.louis after 9/11, band had a three song memorial to the events of the day. Very tastefully done. Not a dry eye on the floor around our area. Bono may come with his share of bullshit, but he and the boys can steal your soul for a few hours if you give them a chance. ... I've just talked myself into trying to get Chicago tickets now.

I wonder after all the presales how many tickets will still be available? I might sit tight and hope for more shows to be added. I got to see them play Your Blue Room for the first time at Solders Field which was awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwWdszm76o4

I'm SO happy I got my ticket. And I was lucky too, I was late to the sale and got the message there were no tickets available but then all of a sudden there was a ticket, and a good one not too expensive. Of course I snatched it. Then I had to wait for 2 hrs for my eticket to be delivered via email, and that was a bit nervous, but now I have it. Haven't seen them in some 20 yrs so I'm really looking forward to this!

Wait period down to 11 minutes.

Update: Wait period back to 14 minutes. I think I'm done trying for public onsale Ticketmaster/Livenation for popular events. Haven't been successful in a while when online right at the sale time. It is a scam or there aren't enough tickets left.

I was first in line in person. The people didn't know what to do.. All they could pull were the $300 tix. Once another emotes showed how to change the pricing, I was left to sec310 for both Toronto shows.

This process took 15 minutes. Surprised I got anything at all.
