Thinking about selling all my posters

badbrainsbadbrains Posts: 10,255
Ok, I've been going thru a lot of my pj stuff and been coming to the conclusion I mite sell off most of my posters. I have a pretty good amount. The only issue is that I've left them in the tubes they came in. I was gonna flatten them out but decided mite as well keep them in the tubes to ship. I have ZERO knowledge of posters so I'm gonna need some help on how much they go for. I don't want to rip anyone off and don't want myself to get shafted on a sale either. Once I go thru them all and figure out what I'm keeping and what I'm getting rid of I'll post them up in this thread. Was gonna do it now but the rangers game started hahaha. Any info would be helpful so maybe someone can help me with the prices and info once I get the list done. Thanks

Cool, thanks. Quick question. Do I price them the same price as Expresso beans or is there some other way of marking them? I know I have some great ones cuz I usually only buy from the shows I attended and being that I live in the north east, gonna have some beauty's in there.

Got stuff from all years. I got msg 03, Camden, newark. Randals island San Diego-95. The last 2 have small pin holes cuz back then I didn't know shit about them and hung them up like that. They're in pretty shape for being super old. Still going thru them now
  • Use the 6 month average. That's a good barometer. Maybe knock a few bucks off for the forum. If it has pin holes knock some more cash off of it. I paid $60 for the LA 98 with pinholes.

Some peeps use past sales search on Ebay minus the 10% fee.
How long have they been in tubes? That can cause problems if they've been in them long time.

Make your own call man. I will sometimes use the 6 mos avg + overall and half it, but that is usually when the overall avg is much higher than 6 mos.

And like they said, eBay data is a whole other variable.

A lot of the expressobeans averages are based on Ebay sales. Just have to look into them and see if the sale was for charity or by the artist or if it seems fishy and take those sales out. Can be a bit of work though.

These are what I have and I'll look up Expresso beans for the prices:

95-San Diego (pins in corners, otherwise great shape)

Randall's island-(pins in corners and is in ok condition for it's age)

    03-Hershey MINT

    03-Msg Mint

    08-Camden Near MINT

    09-Spectrum (all 4 MINT)

08-Vedder (both issues) batman & Vedder

I'll post prices once I figure them out on Expresso beans or someone can help me out and just tell me what they go for. I thought I was gonna have enough money some day to have the HOFF frame them for me but don't have the cash laying around. Thanks

I've got cincy 2014 but I don't think I'll sell that one cuz it'll get framed one day. One of the best shows I've ever attended.

I got a killer Tool one from LA-09 and that killer soundgarden one as well as 2 social distortion and 1 bad religion.

Who knows, maybe no one wants any of them lol. I'll end up sitting on them and then getting them framed one day.
  • Where has the Hoff been? Was hoping to get some framed by him

Good question. Chris is a good dude. I wish I had the funds to get these framed. Thinking about it, I'd love to get all of them framed.
  • He is an awesome dude -- I was planning on taking a trip down to Richmond to get a bunch framed! He is the man when it comes to framing PJ posters.

I was thinking $200 for the New York 03 is fair price. I'm waiting to hear back from someone who Contacted me about it. If he passes, that'll be the asking price. Let me know if I'm wrong but I was told it's a fair price. Thanks guys

I believe it's the grey/gold one cuz I remember thinking it's a very dark poster. Real cool. I have no idea about selling these posters so if I'm pricing wrong, please guys, let me know. Thanks

(Don't recall them playing LA in '09. They played two nights in '10, 7/18 & 7/19. Looking for 7/18)
