one of the things I laughed at during Obama's farewell was his "if you're tired of arguing with strangers on the internet.....".

    gave me great pause.

That stood out to me too
    Me three.

I have to admit me four.
I was listening to the speech while on the forum and when I heard that I chuckled. My first thought was "yeah, you should say this to the people on AMT Obama"!

Obama was never a fan of Netnyahoo and was seemingly at odds with the illegal Israeli settlements, I just can't understand why the most powerful person on the planet couldn't or didn't do anything about them other than signing over the largest "aid" agreement to Israel ever????

I like how you qualify someone being a community organizer in parenthesis as if it were not a legitimate and honorable occupation.

Indeed. I've said it before and I'll say it again: politics aside, you simply cannot deny that he was a class act in the way he presented himself. From that to a guy that calls people by playground names on twitter. What the hell, United States?

So there's less than 24 hours to go for President Obama. I've been on an emotional look back of not only the last eight years of President Obama, but of the 13 years I've been lucky enough to have played even the most microscopic role in his unlikely journey from State Senator here in Illinois to US Senator to the President of the United States. In a thread titled "Some facts for the Obama haters", here's the ultimate fact: Barack Obama is a good, decent and great man. Disagree with his politics all you want, but as a man...he's as good as I've ever come across in my personal and professional life.

It's why they spent 8-10 years trying to destroy his character. Squekiest, cleanest president since Carter. Unfortunately, the pendulum is about to swing so far to the other side that it's going to come off and hurtle all the way to Moscow.

    Class act.

President Obama is a perfect example of the kind of person this country needs as president. For all the reasons you listed and many more.
It's too bad that for the next four years we'll have someone in the Oval Office who is the exact opposite.

Dead on. The Obama's all exemplified character and integrity. It's hard to even think of a more dignified president at anytime if you take in to consideration how accessible information is in our tech crazy world. Much easier to hide dirty laundry 20 years ago.
    It's a hopeless situation...
