    Update: I went in to the local store to see what the situation is. I was hoping if I appeared clueless enough some clerk would take pity on me and put aside a pair. Nope. They actually hold a lottery for the shoes (I guess they wanted to avoid any potential bloodshed in the store). One store already filled their lottery allotments, but were kind enough to send me to another store. I am the first, and so far only, ticket holder for their lottery (my odds are looking good). I even flashed a lil' boob at the clerk to increase my odds, but I don't think she was impressed. They hold their lottery draw tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed that I receive a phone call.
