Well, I was reading a reddit thread that asked deaf people to tell us if hearing people ever accidentally sign inappropriately, lol, and someone said:

"If they're deaf how are the supposed to answer this??"

    Idiots everywhere.

The idiots here refer to the people who bought this product - Hot Dog Water - because of completely made up health claims.

As for the guy selling it, it's pretty funny but he's going to have to make sure he steers clear of of a Health Canada complaint, given that he's making a health claim for his product ;)

I just read another article on this.

$38 a hot dog water. Unfiltered hot dog water designed to increase brain function and stimulate weight loss.

There's a disclaimer on the packaging that reads: Hot Dog Water in its absurdity hopes to encourage critical thinking related to product marketing and the significant role it can play in our purchasing choices.

    Hot Dog Water. Hahahahahahahaha

She's definitely an idiot. There is no convincing evidence showing it was a racist act (though it could have been - we'll never know I guess), but FFS, she simply should have known better. I'll give her a little credit in that she's not digging her heels in like BBQ Becky did. Permit Patty, as this woman is not being called, lmao, has admitted she shouldn't have done what she did. She put it down to having a bad day apparently.
I'm kind of curious about this new little "trend".... It more seems like a busy body problem than it is a racist one. I wonder what the sociological explanation to such behaviour is? Unhappiness? Anxiety? Boredom? A general sense of chaos that they're trying to mend in a really misguided way? Hmmm. Well, whatever it is (besides possible racism - I think BBQ Becky was much more racially motivated), I hope these people are reintroduced to the concept of MYOB.

That said, if that kid's mom really was shrieking about $2 water (haha, Wrigley 2013) like that, it sounds really, really annoying. Not "pretend to call the cops on a little kid" annoying. But annoying nonetheless.

    BBQ Becky? Who's that?

I never really thought it might be racist- although it could have been (who knows?). I just thought it was stupid (like for f**ks sakes get a life).

Lol, that's the name given to the horrible lady who called the cops on the black guy BBQing at the park in Oakland. I just thought it was so funny that she got that nickname, and now this lady got Permit Patty (her real name is Alison, lol). Made me laugh when I saw it.
Plenty of people think it was racially motivated just because it's a white person complaining about a non-white person, apparently.... I do not like that growing habit among some at all of course, but I kind of understand the urge by some to do it, just as a kind of stage in the ol' racist pendulum, you know? Victims of systemic racism get some leeway from me when it comes to that kind of thing. I don't support it at all, but I get why that's where their heads are at. It sucks.

I thought i read on her twitter that it was a sociological experiment and that she was proven right. I'm not sure what she was trying to prove, or if that was just her knee jerk reaction to being publicly flamed, or if it was a parody/fake account that wrote that.

I saw her interview the next day, and there was absolutely no mention of a "sociological experiment". So IF she actually said that, she's a liar. Anyway, it's amazing how people can ruin their lives like this. I wonder if anyone is actually taking note and making alternate, more reasonable decisions about their actions with this in mind?

k, it must have been a fake account attempting damage control.

Or it could have been her back peddling, who knows? Some people will say just about anything when they're in panic mode.

it didn't seem to be her primary account though. it had some weird name to it.
