Why the Lightning Bolt tour 13'-14' was one of the all time best

Of the 11 shows I've been able to see on the '13 & '14 Lightning Bolt tours,samjam said:Agreed, such a fantastic tour. The bands spirits were high, terrific setlists, great crowds, unique moments. Also the new songs translate well live and really added to the show instead of take away (maaaybe minus if you've been to a ton of shows and have had Pendulum open most
)
Pendulum has been the opening song at 8 of them!!!
It is a GREAT opener... but I really hope they give this one a rest for a while now!!!'96: Seattle: Key Arena

i saw 6 shows on the LB tours... Pitt, Buff, Milan, Trieste, Vienna, and Cincy...damn i feel lucky! I wont forget the guy from Texas I met in Trieste...his first show was '93 and he said he lost count on how many shows but hands down, now is the best time to see them! The catalogue alone. I cant speak to the '98 tour, I was a 6th grader lol...but as amazing as I am sure it was, the list of songs I love that didn't exist yet is pretty extensive!Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0

Was having a conversation on the porch the morning after the Denver show... my buddy Sony who's a huge Iron Maiden fan told me he'd seen 15 Iron Maiden shows. He continued sayin' that we were lucky (he's including himself... really loves PJ too) cause there's a lot of PJ left... not like Maiden... he also made a comment on how Maiden refined themselves over the years and that PJ will continue to get better every tour... He goes "Imagine yourself in 15 years at your 20th+ show craving for more McCready solos..."...
Ahhhh... he gave me hope... he gave me spirit....

Actually I think I may have gotten it locked.. Oops. But his stupid answers that a two year could have given, started to piss me off! And as this new group if posters is learning, I'm a real fuck when angry.. So sorry igotcookies... But you never should have said that stupid shut about not being able to discuss the details with the people who were paying for your dream. Cause I know for a fact that was a lie. Still sorry for killing the entertainment. ( warning well received, on that thread and the one in AMT). Good thing this stuff isn't done in person!! lol no wonder I have no IRL friends!2-feign-reluctance said:

None the less... Back to topic. This was an amazing tour for me. Wrigley was amazing! Got to meet so many off you, pay up on ticket karma, which was the absolute best part of the whole thing! That and getting to see the infamous Wrigley Field in person, riding an El train/ subway, and hearing BUGS!! I was sooooooooo happy! That's my very favorite PJ rarity ( even more than Strangest Tribe, and damn you Norweigians for getting g this on the tour!!;-) ), because it's such an oddity! And then getting to do Dallas/OKC run was awesome first time I've gotten to do a run in we over a decade! And my first time getting to see the band two nights in a row in different cities. Thanks to all the kick ass PJ fans that made that happen for my sister and I! I got her hooked.. This was a truly truly amazing tour, the setlists were insane, three hour concerts, hearing Pirch at 2 am?!?!? Fuck that was the BEST!! Thank you PJ! You outdid yourselves this tour round!0

the great set lists. Got to see Dallas, OKC, and Tulsa. Great set lists for each show. got to knock off some great songs off my list. I may be in the minority here, but that version of "black" from Tulsa is bad ass! Just really digging it.Post edited by red mos onPJ: 10/14/00 06/09/03 10/4/09 11/15/13 11/16/13 10/08/14

San Diego and Denver were the highlights of this tour for me. What made them special over the other shows of this tour were the cities themselves, the great fans we met and getting together with my sister/brother and their husband/wife. Such a great time in both cities, San Diego is amazing and Denver was surprisingly awesome.
As far as the band, well they are sounding pretty damn good right now. I don't know why but the San Diego show had amazing sound, the set list was awesome and the band was on point. I don't think I could have imagined a better listening experience.0 -

No idea what the losers you happened to be next to at a show has to do with anything, or how much more you rocked out applies.
That's nice you enjoyed yourself.
I prefer not to have little kids around at concerts. Not that i show it if it happens, as I mentioned. FYI, 13 is teenaged. Teenagers should be at rock concerts. It's where they belong. 9 isn't even that bad, but i wouldn't want to be near someone that young at a show. Really I'm talking little kids. I find them to be a real distraction. Just an opinion, Geez, lol.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
I don't appreciate people like you making blanket statements about not bringing your family to a show. It makes you seem very selfish and entitled.PJ_Soul said:
