ISO of Moline poster Got screwed in my deal with another 10Clubber

Does anyone have a Moline poster that they would be willing to sell for a reasonable price?

I had a deal with another member but it looks like they are screwing me over. He agreed to sell me his extra Moline poster at cost if I grabbed him a shirt and a poster from Milwaukee (the member paid for his stuff) because he was tired from the prior night's show and did not want to wait in the merch line. I lived up to my end of the deal and after waiting in line for merch for 3 hours, I gave him his shirt and poster. He told me to text him to get his Paypal info and he would get the Moline poster out to me. After trading a few texts, he is now ignoring my messages and not responding. I think he has decided to not live up to his end of the deal.

Note: I am not planning to call out the other member by name. I am honestly hoping that he has not just decided to screw me over but it seems like it would be pretty easy to respond to a text.

what kinda time frame we looking at from when he received your merch to when he stopped responding?
i hope you get situated but please share the member name if it doesn't, otherwise how are other people supposed to know who not to deal with.

I met him right after I left the merch line to give him his stuff (to save the trouble of shipping it) so it has been almost 3 weeks since the show.
The last text that I received from him was 10/22. He has not responded to my other texts.

I do not plan to share the person's name because I don't want to stomp on his reputation if there is an honest reason for why I have not heard back from him. He was a cool dude when we talked at the shows and I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

At this stage, I just want to track down a Moline print.

yeah 3 weeks is enough to be worried. sounds like the guy didn't know the poster was gonna be worth so much and 86'd the deal. lame shit to leave you on the line like that, like you said, how long does it really take to send a text? don't forget about the 10c sale too(assuming they have one).

I did not get in line just to help out this other member but they took my second Milwaukee poster that I would have offered to a friend who did not get one (who asked me to help them out after I made the deal).

On the flip side, the other member did not wait in line at Moline just to grab me a poster.

Any way you look at it, we had an agreement. I lived up to my side of the deal. The other member did not and now I don't have a Moline poster. I also passed on the Moline AP sale because I though one was coming my way.

did you pay him for the moline poster? if so, i'd call him out. if not, it's shitty of him, but at least the only thing lost is some time and a poster you could have given to your buddy.

Luckily, I did not pay him for the Moline poster so I am not out any money (except what I am going to have to pay above face for the poster). I did have a deal with the other member and they backed out on their side of the agreement.

Part of the reason that I am not calling the other member out is because they did not steal $ or a poster from me. They just took advantage of me so they didn't have to wait in the merch line.

Think you could call this guy out for being a d--k, not a thief. Might help save someone else from getting screwed by him too... He still only paid original cost, not current retail. He should just give you the $35 poster now. Good luck finding one. Just be patient for the tenclub shop to sell them.

I definitely agree that he is not a thief (and hopefully none of my posts suggested that he was a thief).

What bothers me most is that most of the trades or sales that we make around here are based on trust. This experience reminds me that I need to be more careful with making deals.

Hopefully I will be able to track down the Moline print.

I heard that poster might go up on the website on Nov 25th. Has anyone else heard that? If so will it be under the mercy section or do you have to log in and be a 10club member? If so where will it be for sale on the website?

All the posters show up in Merch>Posters. They show up the same day the bootleg drops, but usually earlier in the morning. There's a chance, though, that all the posters sold out at the venue and they have no back stock at 10 Club Warehouse to sell.

That being said, I'm shocked at how inflated the Moline poster has become. It's not that great of a print - the Lincoln poster kicks it's ass up and down. The only reason people want it so bad is because that was the No Code show.

To me welching on a deal is really no better than stealing and just because property is not lost doesn't mean it's not so bad. And for ignoring the texts you can add coward to the list of adjectives. I mean if he has the capability to screw people, he can at least own it and tell you to buzz off.

Obviously this assumes that something tragic hasn't happened.

Lincoln poster (IMO) is so ridiculously stupid.
Moline is a great print. To each his own!

Strange thing is, the value of the Moline poster was known by the time Milwaukee came around. So the guy should have known what he was giving up. Bummer this person changed their mind and welched. I hope you score one in the ten club sale. Especially if you were at the Moline show.

Lincoln was nice, but come on ... I want it bad because I was there and would love to have a keepsake. I hope I don't forget to sit here on my computer and see it when it comes up, if it comes up. I would be bummed out if somebody sneaked out of a deal like that too. But some people just don't care as long as they get theirs.

I had posted that I wanted the Detroit jersey and if there was anyone willing to grab one for me, I'd be willing to throw in a pick from Mikee for his troubles. I was pmd by someone offering to grab me the jersey. I was soooo pumped and stoked. I thought how awesome, here's someone willing to grab me a jersey. We traded a couple of pms and he said as soon as he's back from the tour he'd be in touch to get everything worked out. Of course that's before everyone started to throw around sealed sevens and coke bottles and whatever else they wanted to. Haven't heard from the guy and he hasn't respoded to any of my pms. Sooooo James, way to keep your word bro. Thought we don't douche each other on the forums, oh wait, yes we do. Good luck bro, sounds like there's ANOTHER duoche bag in here.

Similar thing happened to me with a very popular poster. I sold my extra fan club ticket at face value to another member in here who then offered to pick me up a poster since he was getting into town early. I was to reimburse him for the poster. Guy never came through with the poster. I wasn't out any money but I relied on him picking one up for me so I never got in line. So I missed out on the poster. I still handed over my ticket as promised but never ended up getting the poster. And I've seen the guy post about flipping the poster from that show for other merch. Whatever life goes on. Hope the OP gets his poster.

I finally got a text back from the dude yesterday officially telling me that he was backing out on his side of our deal. He did not give a good reason - he just "decided to keep the poster". I wasn't expecting to ever hear back from him and it sucks that he backed out on our agreement. I guess possession is 9/10 of the law (he had both posters in hand and I have neither).
At least I now know that I was officially screwed on the trade and I can focus on finding a Moline print.

My recommendation is block off a few hours from work on 11/25 and F5 SHOP....I think that's the day of the bootleg and poster release if I'm not mistaken

I say call the person out. I can understand not doing it, but the person backed out of a deal. You followed up on your end and he/she did not follow up on his/her end. Just because you didn't lose money doesn't mean the other person didn't gain anything.

I say call him out too. You'd be helping out everyone else in here so we know not to deal with him in the future.
