Not entirely true. Limited yes. If you only release 400 sets and 3000 people want one, the values are going to get insane. Simply numbering things doesn't make them valuable. MOV often makes the first run of their pressings numbered and on coloured vinyl. Once those are out they make the black vinyl widely available. The values of the numbered ones aren't much different that the ones that followed. The abundant supply keeps prices in cheque.

It's the same on RSD. Make a 3000 pressing of a popular vinyl and it's going to go for a mint on ebay. Press 5000 to 7000 copies and there won't be an issue.

I completely agree with you on demand created from small supply, but simply numbering things doesn't do much. In this case 400 is an insanely low supply. Thus high prices.

For those still searching, keep trying. Use Twitter & Google and search "vinyl films" . There has also been a few record stores posting them on Facebook & Instagram that they received their copies. Few of those stores though have been flipping them on eBay. Awesome right?
