Ed Solo Show Seattle Fanview 10/30/14

I had the great privilege to attend the secret solo show tonight in Seattle. Before the setlist and fanview, if you haven't already please watch the video on EB and consider donating. Quite a worthy cause!

This show was incredibly good. The audience was 90 people in a small production studio. The stage was setup like an Ed solo show. He had the bat wings on his amp, the reel to reel, the kick pedal and box, etc.and wore the white hat I think he was wearing at Bridge School. The audience were seated in 9 rows of folding chairs. I was back row which put me maybe 20 feet from Ed. At one point Ed had one of his sidekicks pour wine for people. My buddy got some accidently poured on his head so he got to keep the bottle. Ed mentioned that you could ask Bono or Bruce about playing for a room of 50,000 people and they'd say it's no problem but if you put them in a room with 90 people they'd be totally nervous. Ukulele Anthem was really funny and sung to a girl who got to sit on stage and got the uke he had used after the song was over. The 10C winner was also announced and stood up.
We all got a gift and mine was the Danny Clinch book autographed by Danny and all of Pearl Jam. Alex Silver, the chairman of the EB research partnership was there hanging in the reception area before the show as was Ed's wife. On the way in we each got a bandage to wear around our wrists to remind us of what these people go through. You could really tell how important this cause was for those folks. I met some really cool people before the show and just had a great time.

Special thanks to EB Research for doing great work, and Ed's wife for making the rounds to very eloquently come speak to many of us regarding the cause.
All I can say is it was a great night for a great cause, and one I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of.

Maybe we should start a petition thread for that, I remember there was one for Imagine back then.
Kidding. Sounds like a great experience. I would have loved to have been there, even though it would have been one huge logistical nightmare for me.
Definitely glad I entered the contest by donating to the cause.

It wasn't strange with only 90 people since we were a loud and excited group. Ed didn't leave before the encore, he just kept on playing...
