WIN TICKETS TO A PRIVATE EDDIE VEDDER SOLO SHOW TO RAISE MONEY TO CURE EB
October 23 2014

Enter to win one pair of tickets to a private and intimate Eddie Vedder solo show held in a secret location near Seattle on October 30th (plus up to $1,000 to help cover travel and accommodation costs). This is the ONLY pair of tickets being made available to the public for this show.

Each entry is $10 and you can donate as many times as you’d like to increase your chances to win. ($10 one chance, $20 two chances, $50 five chances, etc.)

This contest is open through Monday, October 27th at 11:59 pm EST. The winner will be chosen and contacted Tuesday, October 28th.

All proceeds from these tickets and the contest benefit the EB Research Partnership whose mission is to find a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Eddie Vedder, a co-founder of EB Research Partnership, is dedicated to finding a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB is a devastating genetic skin disorder that affects a child from birth. Even the slightest touch or friction can cause the skin to tear apart, blister, and shear off their body. There is no known cure but the EB Research Partnership is working tirelessly to change that. For more information, please go to http://ebresearch.org.

ENTER TO WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS HERE. https://www.crowdrise.com/eddievedder

I would like it if $1000 donation would get you a seat.
Make it the first 500 people to donate and you have $500k just like that.
  • If you haven't watched the video about EB and how a cure seems imminent I'd highly suggest it. What an awful disease but what a great hope for a fix around the corner with broader implications.

Just trying to figure this out? You are automatically entered when you donate? There is no specific page for this event entry?

I'm watching a documentary on Discovery right now about a little boy with EB. My god, to endure that.

Good luck to all who've entered, and moreso to those with this disease. May their pain soon become a thing of their past.

  • Great to see how much time and effort he is putting into helping to find a cure. Like to propose an idea: broadcast the show to ten clubs members around the world for a small fee and pretty sure could raise a ton of money for the cause!!

Thank you EV for using your great art to help others. So inspiring
  • Pretty cool that EV does this buuuuut there's this: I donated 10 or 20 to go to that Montana show for that senator's campaign, and I was bombarded with emails from that senator and multiple MT politicians that were associated with him. I had to unsubscribe at least a half-dozen times for each of one these politicians before I was finally removed from their mailers. Uggh. All in all though, I'll throw a 10 spot at this.

I think a Heal EB PJ LB Shirt with a surfer on a board with a LB and Heal EB/ Causethe wave on it would be a great way to raise funds and spread the word on EB. $39.99 here at 10 Club. I donated too but think the shirts would raise a lot of additional funds.

If it's a matter of your credit card having a US address in order to enter, simply call your credit card provider and tell them to change your billing address to one you can provide in the States (tell them you're moving there for a temporary posting and don't want your online purchases to be rejected). That's how I was able to purchase the VIP meet-and-greet tickets from Jon Tester's campaign for the '12 Missoula show. A couple of weeks after the tickets were ordered I phoned the credit card provider and had the address changed back. Simple.

This is really cool - good luck everyone!
I really wish I could try for it, but this is really short notice, so I can't take those particular days off work with such short notice even if I won. Seems like this was largely designed for people pretty much in the Seattle area considering how close to the show the winner is notified. Oh well.
EDIT: just read this isn't even really open to Canadians anyway. Why?? I am only a 4 hour drive from Seattle (plus the border wait).
