Hedonist is quite intelligent, and that sometimes comes off as contrite, or irksome.. But I say peacekeeper all the way!

I'm so confused on this - nice but then...the hell?

Never been my intent to get under anyone's skin..and contrite? I'm typically not remorseful unless warranted.

    But...thank you?

    Sure, fuck it. Thank you!

(and, Empty, as to your conflict question...

...can I even say "dumb" anymore here? :D)

You're alright, man. A good sport.
Yes, "dumb" is a keeper :))

One day one of my little nephews came up to me and asked me if the equator was a real line that went around the Earth, or just an imaginary one. I had to laugh. Laugh and laugh. Because I didn't know, and I thought that maybe by laughing he would forget what he asked me.

Here in the real world, Is it dumb to start a thread when there's a thread basically about the SAME thing? Do we really need more threads about the same thing?

Yes, OFFI-cal is the only official. I can't edit this, it's not mine, but this one can be grandfathered in.

Stupid question, we are talking about this one right? :))

    Where's everyone at today?

This does not qualify as a stupid question...correct phrasing is 'why do I feel all alone here?'

P.S. I imagine it's most people's first day back to work after rocking the last of the tour which means way too busy.

I feel that it does qualify as a stupid question. Didn't you see who asked it? =))

at public memorials or celebrity gravesites...what happens to all the little trinkets and stuffed animals?

The flowers go to the compost pile I am guessing, but the tokens and such, what is done with them?

(they can't seriously donate the stuffed animals to foster kids can they? "here kid have a teddy bear from a gravesite..." )

This is from a military cemetery's website. Idk if the rules are different for private cemeteries. I always brought flowers, not toys or anything. But I did put little rocks that I found on the grounds on the top of the thing and they were still there months later. Other ppl had left little things like coins and a thimble and just tiny things and I think they let them stay there.
    FLORAL/GROUNDS POLICY
Cemetery policies are conspicuously posted and readily visible to the public.
One floral arrangement accompanying the casket or urn at the time of burial will be placed on the completed grave. Natural cut flowers may be placed on graves at any time of the year. They will be removed when they become unsightly or when it becomes necessary to facilitate cemetery operations such as mowing.
Artificial flowers and potted plants will be permitted on graves during periods when their presence will not interfere with grounds maintenance. As a general rule, artificial flowers and potted plants will be allowed on graves for a period extending five days before through five days after Easter Sunday and Memorial Day.
Christmas wreaths, grave blankets and other seasonal adornments may be placed on graves from Dec. 1 through Jan. 20. They may not be secured to headstones or markers.
Permanent plantings, statues, vigil lights, breakable objects and similar items are not permitted on the graves. The Department of Veterans Affairs does not permit adornments that are considered offensive, inconsistent with the dignity of the cemetery or considered hazardous to cemetery personnel. For example, items incorporating beads or wires may become entangled in mowers or other equipment and cause injury.
Permanent items removed from graves will be placed in an inconspicuous holding area for one month prior to disposal. Decorative items removed from graves remain the property of the donor but are under the custodianship of the cemetery. If not retrieved by the donor, they are then governed by the rules for disposal of federal property.
