With the amazing frame jobs I've seen on this board, I think some of you will do outstanding things with that Lincoln poster.

    My thoughts/observations/opinions…

Faces/skulls must have been a band directive this tour?

All art is subjective. What I like most likely ain't what someone else is gonna like. I like to base my decisions on what I'd like to see hanging on my wall and what I can personally do without. I'm also biased and will like the posters of the shows I attended more than I ought to. All said… here's how I'd personally rank 'em.

    1. Cincy (not popular by any means, but, had I attended that show, I would have proudly hung that poster on my wall. A lot left up to interpretation in the artwork. It's rather pretty to look at, and I don't think I'd ever get tired of staring at it. Hell, I may just have to buy that poster regardless.)

    2. Austin 2 (That poster looks like I FELT attending ACL weekend #2… longhorn skull representative of Texas and the streamers representing the amazing time I had at ACL and seeing Pearl Jam for my 7th time. Soft spot in my heart for this poster and show… First and probably only time I'll ever be that close to the band while they perform on stage (three people behind rail).

    3. Milwaukee (Simple, elegant… Honestly, the artist's statement on the back would be reason enough for me to want this poster.)

    4. Tulsa (Very Leatherman)

    5. Lincoln (Probably would have placed higher if not for the arbitrarily placed "Pearl Jam" at the bottom. I'd even consider cutting off the bottom of the poster in the framing of it just for the image…It's kinda gnarly… On the other hand, lots of skulls on posters this tour… What gives?)

    6. Denver (I attended this show, waited for hours in line for merch that sold out about 100 people ahead of me. I dig this poster for many reasons. Nychos' first gig poster. My wife's first Pearl Jam concert. The last show of the 2014 tour. When I buy this poster, I probably won't frame it, but it's pretty gnarly…)

    7. Memphis (There's a LOT going on in this one… I dig it for that reason, primarily)

    8. Austin 1 (Kinda looks like a beer bottle label. Wouldn't really wanna frame that one, personally)

    9. Moline (Tractor. OK.)

    10. St. Paul (I LOVE it when a poster incorporates the members of the band on the gig poster… Pearl Jam as VIKINGS in the Viking State… I dig it. But it's a little cartoony...)

    11. Detroits (rather cartoonish…I understand the connection… Felt like Munk One phoned it in… Probably would have gotten the Joe Louis version and that's it…On the other hand, might have just skipped on the poster and tried to get a hockey jersey instead…That hockey jersey is fucking awesome)

    12. St. Louis (not a fan of Popeye or turning my head to read stuff)

I was Surprised that the Cincinnati poster didn't sell out at first but looks like it isn't getting any love here. My guess is Moline, Milwaukee, Denver, and Lincoln will sell out quickly

Moline and it isn't even close...

Love BK just not feeling that one... maybe another city? I thought Memphis was a perfect chance to nail a location specific print and the masters of war theme caught me off guard
  • Just not a strong run of posters. None of them do anything for me. Moline would have been the 5th or 6th best poster in the 2013 US tour.

    This is TRUE...
No one really put out a GREAT poster this year!!!
AND I never thought I'd say that a MUNK ONE was in the running for the worst poster of the tour!!

I was at Denver, and could have bought a poster at one of the merch stands inside. . . . I passed, I have enough posters that aren't hanging in my house. (I probably would have got one if they didn't have any shirts, but I got the last XL at that stand. . . . I was all set!) That poster was an easy one for me to pass on, it does absolutely nothing for me, and my wife despises it (so it definitely wasn't getting hung at the house!). Once I had the t-shirt, it was a no brainer.

Of this tour, my favorite is Lincoln, hands down. I also like Moline & the ACL with the longhorn skull.

    1. Moline - I like the subject matter and the 3D perspective of the tractor. The Pearl Jam font is pretty cool too. I missed the S/N edition so I'm hoping to get one from the Ten Club sale next month
    2. Detroit - I wholeheartedly disagree with those who are bashing this one. Again, I like the subject matter and it's relevance to the the city. I also like the Detroit skyline in the backgrounds.
    3. St. Paul - The Conan-style Pearl Jam makes this one a winner for me
    4. Cincinnati - I just like this one and the next two from a pure art perspective. As others have pointed out, there's little relevance to the city. I just like the way they look.
    5. Milwaukee
    6. Lincoln
7-12. "The Rest" - I wouldn't consider buying any of these unless I was there, as opposed to the top 6, which I'd gladly purchase and hang on my wall.

  • I can't believe how little love the Denver poster is getting. Pulled it out of the tube yesterday and was again amazed at how kick ass it is. I will say that all the shade layers and matte to shiny differences don't translate in the pictures at all so that may be where it loses some of its appeal.

    For me:
    Denver
    St Paul
    Tulsa
    Moline
    Lincoln
    And then the rest

You never really had to begin with.

I bought the Memphis poster because that was a big trip for me to see the show, but I'd go so far as to say I hate it. You can barely make out the Jam, and the mention of Memphis is too small. The point of the poster for me is to show Pearl Jam and the city clearly to have a nice memory on the wall.

That's the Klausen print? Yeah his stuff has gone so far down hill the past few years. I can't justify buying any of his work.
