oh awesome !!!, another reason why Jeff rocks, and his songs are so good, hey, wonder if so, why not Low Light, that would have seemed to fit his setlist, but we did get it the next night.
Jeff rocks, thanks for picking one hell of a setlist

I agree; slightly disappointed, but was expecting a better show last night; Hartford could be the best show I've seen though
SLC 11/2/95, Park City 6/21/98, Boise 11/3/00, Seattle 12/9/02, Vancouver 5/30/03, Gorge 9/1/05, Vancouver 9/2/05, Gorge 7/22/06, Gorge 7/23/06, Camden I 6/19/08, MSG I 6/24/08, MSG II 6/25/08, Hartford 6/27/08, Mansfield II 6/30/08; Eddie Albany 6/8/09, 6/9/09; Philly 10/30/09, 10/31/09; Boston 5/17/10
I thought the world...Turns out the world thought me
You're the only to agree with me so far! I actually just edited my post to add two more repeat songs: Once and Corduroy.
In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have said in my original post that I was disappointed in the overall set lists--Hartford did have a great set list (too bad I missed 6 songs because of the stupid Ten Club line). But, I will stand by my statement that I would've liked more variation between Mansfield 1 and Mansfield 2. There were 10 repeats in those two shows--I think that's a lot--it's over 1/3 of the show!

There's no need to be rude! I was simply asking if anyone agreed with me about the repeat songs. Fine, most people did not. But--I certainly don't deserve to hear childish and rude comments like "don't go to shows then!" My God, how immature! A simple yes or no, I agree/don't agree is fine. That's how an adult would state their opinion.
Thank you to those who did state their opinions like adults, by the way.
Furthermore, I NEVER said I didn't have a good time! What kind of time I had (or you had) is IRRELEVANT to my question!!!!!!!
even established artists play the same, recurring " staples " in their setlists.
youd better get over it.
take springsteen for instance, who has over 250 + songs inb his catalog.
Even so , you will hear Born To Run every night on the current tour.
If you go to see Pearl Jam, you are going to hear even flow and corduroy, thats just a given.
Alltho I missed Hartford, i was at Camden 1,2, MSG1,2, as well as Mansfield 1,2 & The Beacon.
Mansfield we were surprised with satans bed .
At least at the Beacon we got Sleight Of Hand , which was simply just beautiful.
So basically all shows have monotony as well as spontaniety all rolled up into one.
It sounds as if perhaps you just had your hopes a bit too high, no bigge- we've all been there and done that .
For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside

One thing I've learned from having a spouse who's in a band is that you play for the audience, not just the loyal diehards. And that means playing the well-known favorites often because without them, you've lost half the crowd. These shows are full of casual fans and they come to hear the hits. That's the reality, and PJ knows it...and delivers. If they played nothing but obscure songs (which personally I'd love, but I am a die-hard), the entire crowd wouldn't be digging it. It's part of the job to play the well-known hits at every show, whether the die hards like myself like it or not. It's just the way it usually is.
Didn't mind hear the repeats thought it would be a given. IMO hearing tour debuts and rarities (Hello freaking Bee Girl!) off sets it for the die hards.
Are you a wee bit disappointed in the repetition of songs and overall set lists? I know I am....not to sound like a whiny complainer, but even my husband commented on it and he's only a "minor" fan....
Repeats:
Alive: H, M1, M2
Even Flow: H, M1, M2
Better Man: H, M1, M2
Small Town: H, M1, M2
Why Go: H, M1, M2
Garden: H, M2
Given to Fly: M1, M2
Do the Evolution: H, M1, M2
Once, M1, M2
Corduroy, M1, M2
I thought last night's show was a bit lackluster overall. I thought they'd mix it up, knowing that A LOT of people would go to both Mansfield shows......
ummm didnt you get MFC, Wash, Bee Girl, Satan's Bed, Breakerfall, Low Light, Brain of J, Immortality, Blood, Smile?!!
Are you really complaining about getting Garden twice?!
Comments
that Hartford setlist was exactly what I was hoping for with MSG 2. I can't complain though.

I heart jeff's setlists big time
I was at the three shows, and had an amazing time. No complaints from me!

But, yeah, between the two Mansfields alone there were ten - ten! - repeats:
Betterman
Corduroy
DTE
Even Flow
GTF
No More
Once
Small Town
Why Go
That's a friggin' LOT of repeats on back-to-back nights, in the same venue, in 24 or 25-song sets ...
I don't care what anyone says, the Grateful Dead setlist comparisons should end here

Me Too! But I had much better seats in Hartford. Thanks DPrival78! What a freakn great tour!
What You Giving
I suggest you step out on your Porch.
Run away my son. See it all. Oh, See the World!
That happened one time.
In 1998 on the Yield tour at Hartford and Mansfield 1 and 2 there were 10 songs that were played all 3 shows.
In 2000 on Binaural they didn't play Hartford, but the 2 Mansfield shows
had 9 repeats.
In 2006 they played Hartford and Mansfield 2 times and there were 10 songs
that were played at all 3 shows.
I think a lot of people base what they want to hear on the 2003 Mansfield
shows and that will probably never happen again.
