I made a stand alone thread already, but I probably should have posted this here. I took a bunch of photos at the St. Louis show if you guys are interested. I was about 10 rows up parallel to the stage on Mike's side. If anyone knows the kid who Ed gave the mic to there are a bunch of photos of him singing etc. Click the link at the bottom of this tumblr post for another 100+ photos of the show.

I've spent almost a full week digesting the show, and they're just simply the best doing it today.

Had a blast in St. Louis. I was worried my wife and I wouldn't make it as both of my flights were delayed, but we got in the saddle in time. Loved everyone we encountered -- the staff at the hotel (i.e. bartenders) and all the fans we ran into.

Tough getting into the building, but the atmosphere couldn't be matched. I got swept up with the baseball game like everyone else. Such a cool experience.

My only complaint -- and it's a small one -- is that they opened with the same two songs they did at the only other show I went to on the last US leg (Buffalo). I was starting to worry that we were going to get too similar a show, but it turned out to be better than I could ever expect. And besides, I love 'Pendulum' and 'Low Light'!

I don't mind Pendulum as an opener...but I like it more when a "traditional" opener follows it at 2. Low Light is a great song, but in a heartbeat I would have traded it for Oceans or Release or Of The Girl etc.

I love Pendulum as the opener...but it does drive me nuts to hear a low tempo song in the #2 spot..although you know if #2 (and sometimes even #3) are low tempo you are about to get pounded.

I assume they do that to get the sound mix worked out

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the mess that security created with the GA line once we were moved inside. People waited and held their spots in line all day only for it to become a jumbled mess inside the doors. I was in the first wave of people allowed in and I worried about those behind us. Luckily the people I met in line were good about looking out for each other but we should never have been put in that position. It was downright scary for a while there.

There's a separate thread about that and the merch line but I don't know how to link to it..?

Security was absolutely unimpressive all night long. We had seats and still it took at least 25 minutes to get in. But once we were in and up in the balcony I don't think I saw another security guard. The crowd around us was well behaved...and largely stoned because there was a ton of weed going around. I don't partake but don't spite others who do. Apparently the bulk of security was hassling people with seats better than ours. Kinda glad I was up in "gen pop". ;-)

Awesome 10c seats close to the stage near a row behind Kerry Wood's seats. No security hassle. Plenty of skunky ass weed though. Nasty!

This was myself and wife's 2nd show of our road trip and 10th show and weren't disappointed at all and how could you be, what a show and setlist! We had some amazing seats again, section 103 row 2..thanks 10C. Getting to hear Footsteps, Chloe Dancer, Pilate, Low Light and Imagine. Imagine was so amazing to witness and be part of, very surreal. Didn't seem to be as loud as Cincinnati, but crowd was definately into it. Pretty cool when Eddie sang his improv of the baseball score, that was neat. All in all it was a fabulous first 2 shows to kick off the fall tour and can't wait till Detroit!

am i the only out of towner that actually enjoyed st louis and the people?

Came all the way down from Ontario Canada and thought St. Louis was great and the people great to. Now we didn't venture to far from downtown, but overall experience of the city was cool. You have some pretty cool looking buildings downtown
    Ditto - even about Ontario.
