ya know what, i dont really give a shit where they play

i'm just so psyched that they are going to play again this year. it was a total surprise to hear they were playing at all in 07, and to have been able to see them twice last year was quite the blessing.

Bonnaroo will be sick, and so will their VFC tour, yes i have a strong feeling they will come back to the swing states

They should have played here for the caucuses.

yeah they really should have rocked the caucus.

although i have a feeling most of them are satisfied with the results of the caucus.

    Here's your chance guys.

53 of Iowa's 99 counties were declared disaster areas by the State. I believe 23 are federal disaster areas. The people of Iowa need a pick-me-up. How about a flood recovery fundraiser show in Iowa?

    Let's make it happen.

That's a pretty good idea, but are the venues damaged by the water?

I think my head would explode. I camped out overnight to see Smashing Pumpkins there, it was simply amazing.

I don't think so. They could play Carver Hawkeye in Iowa City, Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, or somewhere in Cedar Rapids (not familiar with venues in that city).

    "It's My Flood!"

What the world needs now...is a Pearl Jam Iowa benefit.

    Open with Wash.

Iowa City wouldn't work. The acoustics at Carver are terrible and the Ballroom is a terrible place to watch a show.

I'm thinking they play at either Gabes, The Green Room, or the Yacht Club.

I'd pay top dollar to see them at Gabe's. That'd be fuckin' awesome.

  • Seriously, if you are talking Iowa, it has to be Sioux City. You want a small, intimate venue? The Orpheum Theatre can't be beat. Beautiful building and incredible sound. For a larger venue, there is the Tyson Events Center. Not too big, and also has killer sound.
