I'm on this boat too. I can't find any cheap framing store anywhere, they ask 150-200€ and that is way too mutch. Got the '07 world tour poster on top of a glassed desk, since it's no silksreen... ;)
Have about 75 posters stored flat.

I was finally going to pull the trigger on the Picturesque Pro from Jerrys Artorama but it's on back order until July. Is there any other recommended similar product?

After one of our trips to The Framing Center to have our posters framed...
jlaustin & I noticed how they had their prints displayed in the shop.
We have discussed picking up one these metal print racks to display our unframed posters!!

    image

This one is about $90 with free shipping from Amazon.
You'd also have to pick up some sleeves and foam core / backing materials to store the posters in,
but this way you could just flip through your unframed posters whenever you want...
Instead of pulling out the portfolio or taking them out of the flat file!!

I just don't have the space for a flat file or display. I didn't find another portfolio that was 24" x 36".

Only 2 framed, maybe a dozen stored. I collect the posters of the shows I go to, I just haven't had great luck in getting posters that I would want up on my wall, heh.

You could buy a couple of these foam core display boards until the portfolio is back in stock:

    image

The 36" X 48" size display boards are only $15.49 at Staples:
    http://www.staples.com/Elmer-s-Black-Foam-Display-Board-36-x-48-/product_922528

I use one of these for my oversized posters that won't fit in my flat file!!

    I'm afraid to answer this.
    13 framed
4 portfolio books (2 18x24, 2 24x36) full. My guess around 150 or so in storage.
I enjoy the art and am happy to support the artists.
I'm have high hopes for 2016 posters too.

Wow. just reading these posts here and I am very impressed at some of the collections. I am new to the whole poster collection. My wife wants to get me a poster framed with our tickets from our first show together, Moline in 2014. Any of you gurus know how she could acquire one? I save all my hard tickets for everything, concerts, sporting events and the like so all I need is the poster.

Create an account on Expresso Beans. Search for the moline poster and contact the accounts that have the poster for sale. Good luck, I hope you find one. It may cost a good amount, but once it's framed and on your wall, as you appreciate it for years to come, you won't care what you paid for it

Yep, hoping to do this method in the new house! I really need the space for 15+ framed posters and probably 250 more stuffed into Artarama portfolios. They are so heavy now, I can't lift them. I really need a way to display them without breaking my back or my wallet!

Hi...My name is Dave and I'm a HUGE POSTER NERD!!!
I have 68 framed posters...most are concert / gig posters, but I also have one room that has a Kentucky Derby, IndyCar & Formula 1 racing theme with quite a few framed horse & auto racing posters!
I also have a few winery & city themed posters framed in my dining room / kitchen.
    Now for the difficult part...
I have 172 posters stored in this flat file:

    photo 20140815_161957_zpsbar26yri.jpg

I have them divided into these categories:

    photo 20140815_162014_zpsotmaoacn.jpg

Most of them are in the top 2 drawers...but due to my Band of Horses, My Morning Jacket & Beck addiction, PLUS a TON of great BREAKING BAD prints, there are a LOT in the Other Music and TV Shows & Movies too!!
There you go...I feel so much BETTER getting that off my chest!!!
    :D

68 framed posters: Conservatively guesstimating an average of $200 per frame job comes out to $13,600 in framing. Now that's financial dedication to one's passion !

I'd have to say my number of framed posters in now closer to 75.
and that's probably a pretty good estimate on the cost...
    maybe a little more!!
I have a few that were well under $200...
projects with just the poster in a simple black frame and single matte with one opening.
These usually run somewhere between $125 & $175,
depending on the size of the poster.
I'd say that my average frame job would be a little more than $200,
and have several that were closer to $400.
There are 26 framed posters in my master bedroom alone...
and I think I can make wallspace for 3 or 4 more in there!!
