Looking forward to this but would definitely be willing to pay an extra $10-15 (already paying $50) for a 4th vinyl in the set to have it complete. I wonder if it has something to do with the packaging/binding to add a 4th album in these vault album designs.
Didn't they say it's something about the sound quality of the other tracks?
Yes, but to me it's still weird to offer up a live show that is incomplete (like the Orpheum show-that was brutal, missing tracks in the middle of the show). people are willing to forgive sound quality so they can listen to the whole show on wax. as long as you are up front about it. or offer up a companion stand-alone encore LP for those who want it on wax and willing to pay extra for it.

I 100% agree with you.
Listen, I've wanted a Jack Irons show for years on wax. I'm pumped as hell that it's soldier field. But being that it's such a legendary show, put the whole dame thing on vinyl!!!

I like that idea. The completist in me is so frustrated by incomplete live shows releases.
I agree with 1996. They should stay in the 1996 and 1995 years for a bit. If they go 1996 I'd prefer night 1 Randall's Island, it simply was a better show. Night 2 is great, it is long, but night 1 is better. I also think deep down inside, night 2 is never going to be released, unless it has some serious edits because there are some unfortunate moments with crowd control that are an eerie foreshadow to the tragedy that occurred a few years later in Roskilde.
After Randall's the Europe shows would be interesting.

why do you think night 1 was better? I was at night 2 and thought it was insane.
1. Any 1996 show 2. Red Rocks 95 3. Any VFC show 4. HOB 2005

How about all 4 97 shows in 1 set. Probably could fit each show on 1 disc, so 4 l.p. set
Was all four opening for the Stones?

Night 1 was insanely supercharged. They let rip right off the bat with Last Exit and it never really skipped a beat. Red Mosquito was killer, Not For You is just spectacular, pretty much everything from State through Indifference was nearly perfect. One of the more special versions of Even Flow with John Popper sitting in.
I enjoyed both nights, night 1 I just found sharper and more overall enjoyable. The setlist was crazy night 2, and there are definitely high points. But it is just a preference thing. Night 2 kept getting disrupted by the insane testosterone in the pit.

The "4th" album of Soldier Field encore songs is the 2016-17 Holiday single this year....there I said it....go ahead and tell me to start another thread

what are we thinking for vault 8? I"m just hoping for something from '96.
Vaults 1 & 2 on vinyl first.
