at first listen it sounds MUCH better than the FM boots circa 95/96. I have them all and this has the best bass as far as I can tell. More comparisons coming when I get time.
Okay New Boot IMO: Sounds like a live recording, mix is much better, Bass is actually present, levels of instruments is way more consistent and unified. Cymbals are wonderful! Loving the drums, man I loved Jackie!
Old version(s) vocals are way too in front of everything, levels are jacked way up to the point of shrill. Almost no bass. Ed sounds like he is in a room singing over the music
now don't get me wrong, for years this was one of the only "soundboard" recordings out there, but they were really FM broadcast recordings from the soundboard feed, so there was clearly signal and quality loss. It has always been one of my favorite boots, but it is SOOOO MUCH better on the bugs version, not even close.
Mix is soo much better...listening now again....fucking amazing transporting me back to that amazing night

Been released. Gimme Seattle warm up show from 96 instead. Real deal
I just want to mention that Moline is, IMHO, the most overrated boot in the history of PJ boots. Whatever magic happened at that show did not carry over onto the recording at all as far as I'm concerned. I doubt it feels that way to those who were there, because their memories of the show colour their experience while listening to the boot. But as someone who wasn't there (and who loves No Code), Moline is probably the worst boot I've downloaded so far. I really regret listening to those who recommended it when I asked for opinions about which boot I should download with my free download code.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

"these fucking mosquitoes are driving me crazy!" "Oh Canada, you're beautiful when you're drunk!"
I used to have this show on VHS. one whole song's sound dropped out.
classic FAT ELVIS Eddie
I have it on VHS and also DVD. sound is great, the picture is a tad grainy, but it was pro shot, so I'm sure it could be cleaned up.
Fat Elvis Eddie?
Fat Edvis!
or some have called it his "bloated Jim Morrison" look
I recall his face was a bit rounder at this point, but the rest of of him looked the same. I wasn't aware there was a fat name of him at this point. LOL
