I’m guessing it’s the 2005 Missoula show. Part of a Tester fundraiser.
    Nailed it.
Thank you for recognizing my genius.
It wasn't the Tester fundraiser though, was it? That was the Missoula 2012 show... Unless they did a Tester fundraiser in 2005 too?? Did they?
Both were. I made the same mistake when he first mentioned it. I forgot about the 05 show
Ah, I see, thanks! I didn't realize PJ had pushed Tester that long.
And now this upcoming show in Missoula is a political one too. I wonder when Missoula's going to get just a regular show, lol.

yes it was a tester show, also It was a free show to test out the bandcamp bootleg site I believe, that's where I got my copy from anyway, just can't remember if it was originally sent out to test the site or was part of a vault series on there.

Frickin' 96 should be a shoe in, but damn they could surprise us again with an '07 show. It'd also be sweet to package all those '97 Stones' opener shows together as one big vault. Some good shit on there too.

    My preference ranked:

    '96 (seriously, anything!)
'03 Santa Barbara Bowl (Amazing set!)
    '07 (Some amazing Euro shows)
    '11 PJ 20
    '13 Wrigley
    '04 (Anything)
    '97 (All 4 shows)

    It's a hopeless situation...

I'd like a nice Ed solo show on vinyl, please. Preferably from '09 or '11 shows

That would be amazing, but Vaults is for PJ shows. Eddie can release everything, but that doesn't need to be a Vault.

Since more or less every show from the 2000 tour and on is available with very limited limited exceptions, spending Vault time on any more shows from post Binaural is really kind of point less.  The 1998 tour has been touched on enough at the moment with Live on 2 Legs, Vault 3 and 6.  There should be plenty to dig into from 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996 for several rounds.

There is just no reason for the band to release this.  The existing pre-FM recordings are more or less exactly the mix that Brett Eliason would nail down for this anyway.  This would be a big waste of collectors time to go this route.

Agree. The only way I'd like this show to be officially released (again) is in video format, blu-ray if possible, or DVD.

Just doesn't add anything to the bigger picture.  They played 37 shows in 2005, when Vault 8 is officially out that will have been 33 full releases from that year, 1 partial.   So much more to choose from in years that have seen little to no officially released material.

Fair enough, I'm sticking to my requests.  Hopefully vault 10 is the way the reissue benny too.

I really love the '98 tour, but with 2 vaults already under our belt from that year and LO2L I'd prefer we avoid that year or just release every show from '98 in bootleg format that is quality enough to do so with. Great tour.

Unfortunately there is very little material from that era that would warrant going to the effort of putting on vinyl, which seems to be the driving force behind the vault releases.  Brett Eliason was not multi-tracking until 1993, though a couple of shows like Drop in the Park were multi-tracked (that likely because they were home and had access to more equipment)

Yeah, even that MTV New Years Eve show included with S/T wasn't multi track right? You would figure that show would have been recorded properly?

Yeah, even that MTV New Years Eve show included with S/T sounded pretty bad. You would figure that show would have been recorded properly?
I think the uniqueness of that show is why they decided to release it, but yeah given all the interviews with Brett Eliason over the years, the things in the PJ 20 book and the fairly good detailed piece on the Live Recordings from Deep 13, that New Years show was purely a front of house mix that was tapped into and it was "hot", not balanced at all.

There are still many many very good to excellent soundboard line recordings from particularly 1992 - 2.11.92, 2.12.92, 3.2.92, 3.4.92, 6.6.92, 6.8.92 and 6.18.92

What was their purpose of recording everything? I dont think it was until 98 that they planned on releasing everything, and even that fell through.
So why did they bother to record every single show, especially if not all were up to quality standards?

Kelly Curtis wanted to release live official bootlegs as far back as 1992, but was mostly rebuffed on it being impractical to record the shows in a manner suitable for release.   They recorded the shows because they wanted to.  For the band to be able to play them back and hear how things sound and if they wanted to make adjustments.  They began multi-tracking because, basically Brett Eliason was into doing it, but in any event, read the stuff in Deep 13, it explains most of what is going on with the live recording process.
