  • At Joey's funeral on June 29, I made a promise during the eulogy to take up the drums like he had during the past year. As a way to honor him, I took my first lesson from his amazing teacher yesterday. We started with the song, "Warning" by Green Day, that Joey had learned. Miss my beautiful boy so much.

Long Road to open the encore would be cool

I had that thought too. It seems like at fests they seem to open with more well known to the masses tunes.
    Yep exactly

I would take an encore of:

    Long Road
    Hard To Imagine
    Betterman
    Go
    Porch
    Alive
    Baba O' Riley

  • Family Photo with Cheap Trick before their concert Monday night at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The most underrated band in the world could not have been nicer, provided us with sixth-row seats, and put on an amazing show as always. Happy to share this with my wife, Kirsten, and 10-year-old son, Andy.

  • Four years ago today, a lifelong dream of mine was realized when I took Joey to see a band that I have loved for more than 35 years, Cheap Trick, in concert. As he was still learning to read, I created a book about his first concert experience to get him motivated. Tonight, I presented a copy of the book to the band along with a letter about my beautiful son. They were touched and then gladly signed my copy. It is something I will treasure forever.
