im sure the crowd will be huge, maybe not capacity but plenty big enough.

MK isn't a popular venue it seems but I figure they'll still pull in a solid gathering

Having been to MK Bowl years ago and not being impressed with the place I decided to give it a miss despite it being my nearest gig and made a holiday out of going to Vienna instead .

I've always had fun at the gigs I've been to at MK bowl (Green Day and Foo Fighters). The sound wasn't bad for an outdoor venue. Definitely go if you can!

For comparison's sake, the Manchester Evening News Arena (or whatever it's known as now) has a capacity of 20k. MK Bowl is 65k. I reckon it'll be half full, at best, although I'm more than happy to be proven wrong!

They won't be around forever. Treat every opportunity like a gift. Don't miss out on one.

...from a secret source I believe 20,000 tickets were sold through 10C for MK, but approx. a month after tickets went on general sale the total was only around 25,000 - so quite a poor initial uptake... hence Eddie's comment in Leeds :o) I'm not sure what the figure is now...

I live in the MK area and alot of people I've spoken to just simply don't know Pearl Jam are playing in their back yard!

From someone close to the scene I have heard they have sold just under 31,000. That's not even half the capacity and while I'm sure they weren't expecting to sell MK out, I'm sure they were thinking they were going to pull at least 40-50,000. Kind of a sad way to end what has been a fantastic run in Europe not only from the set-lists/shows but, also at the gate!

Those aren't awful numbers by any means. Soundgarden at Hard Rock Calling was a really bad turn out, I'd be surprised if there was even 10,000 there for that show, but 31,000 is solid - it's more than the O2 holds, so I'm sure the atmosphere will be great.

its not the most accessable to get to.were driving to a train station, then 2 hour train journey and then a 5 hour bus journey and then back on the bus to do it all again.im sure theres plenty of other folk with similar stories.next time Glasgow, leeds again and maybe the o2 in London would be better.

So that would explain why for last week I couldn't find anyone interested to have my 10C tickets even for half price :( Anyone know why entry is at 2pm? so what time PJ can be expected on stage?

this is how they figure out where they tour. i saw yesterday that they had just released excellent tickets for M/K - that's the usual release of band/arena/etc unused tickets but they usually don't make an announcement. And they have the M/K contest (did someone win that yet, should i check my email?). This is why, and don't shoot me, they play the East Coast - money in the bank. It'll be a great show no matter how many show up and

A mate of mine worked at Soundgarden at Hyde park, 15k tickets sold the week before but they expected a 10k walk up. Who cares, it was a great gig

Don't get me wrong, the band were great, but the sound was shocking. We were stood dead centre in front of the sound tower and we could have a conversation without having to shout at each other.

I hope PJ pulls out some surprises for the Faithful. Maybe Neil Young coming out and doing Needle?

Well, I'm at my work, even at 6 o'clock this morning I was still undecided whether to go or not. Train was at 7.09am, it's shit being responsible and having to do the 'right' thing. Will sit outside in the garden with a few drinks and follow the setlist thread. Its a beautiful sunny day here in Scotland, but I know I should be somewhere else :(
Hope everyone has a great time watching the best band in the world tonight. If it's half as good as Leeds then no-one will be disappionted. Think they will be a few surprises, maybe even a guest or two.
I am now due myself a PJ show :) .....make that an extra show

It could be a great show! Have seen a few fans here and there but it's still surprisingly laid back here in MK. if someone told me there´d be a huge show tonight I would just laugh. Hopefully, once we arrive at the bowl, the place will be filled with lovely PJ people :D
