  • I am a huge fan of The Division Bell. A turning point in my life listening to this the summer of 94. Saw the show in Ames Iowa, mind blown. Sign me up for anything that came out of those sessions.

Also a huge fan of division bell. Really excited about this. Just bought the anniversary edition on vinyl and listen to it all the time.

    Just listened to this.
    Not too shabby!
Some pretty decent solos and dreamscapes created on this record.

I thought this album was just instrumentals, but don't panic there is singing on it.
    Good listen, enjoy...

I'm enjoying the album. I was one of those curmudgeons dismissing it as rejected Division Bell stuff when it was first announced but it's actually pretty good. In fact, musically, this stuff is way more up my ally than Division Bell is.

"Sum" and "Skins" together are mind-blowing material in my opinion. Like all other Floyd, the volume has to be turned up, and the listening equipment should be as high quality as possible.

  • It was suggested that side 2 is actually very similar in structure to the 4-part suite "A Saucerful of Secrets" on the album of the same name. I quite agree, and I actually like the new "suite" better! I didn't like the saxgasm in Anisina at first, but then it was pointed out that it was filled with Klezmer, and when I listened again, my understanding of the piece changed and I really appreciate it now.

I must say, I really have been enjoying this album. I was a bit disappointed at first as I think I was expecting something different. It really opened up to me after repeated listens. Good stuff.

this album wholly exceeded my expectations and i feel is about a good a coda to the band's career as could possibly be. allons-y -> autumn '68 -> allons-y i think is my favorite sequence on the album.

i can't stop listening to it, and that's about as high a praise as i can give it. it's definitely re-energized my love for pink floyd.
