I was wondering why 10c doesn't offer single tickets, when they would sell out either way. It's interesting to see how many people (including myself) don't have a concert buddy. Guess we could all post on the forum prior to the sale and try to make connections. If I still don't have a concert buddy (or 10c doesn't change their policy) by the next tour, I may have to try that.

I was thinking about this too... seeing all the spare Oslo and Stockholm tickets made me think about this. I didn't even try to get rid of mine seeing how many other people were trying and failing... I just ate the cost and went by myself. At least this way I now have a ticket and wristband in good condition to frame with the poster...
    :-O
Sorry, but I hate to hear when PJ tix go to waste. Why not just give the ticket away for free?
    I tried believe me!!
Wow, people can't give 10c tix away for free now? Wtf? :-/
In my case it was partially my fault. I thought my spare was taken, but realize a day before the show it wasn't. I posted that I had a spare available but no one messaged me. The day of the show I got to the venue kinda late because my morning sightseeing ran later than I intended. I had already seen so many people had spares so I figured no one would be standing outside the venue trying to buy one. I WAS gonna offer mine for free to a random person but Wuhlheide is kinda of in the middle of nowhere, I don't think many people were even going to go there without a ticket. Again, I could be wrong as I didn't get there till like 6pm. I sat outside for a while and had a bite to eat with my extra ticket sitting out in plain view just in case but didn't get approached. In AMS 1 AND Milan there were people outside buying tickets, not so for Berlin. I do mean PEOPLE btw not scalpers. I saw the scalpers at Berlin and decided I'd rather let it go to waste.

On the upside I was able to send the unused wristband to a girl in Lithuania who lost hers.So while it does suck, and serves as motivation to make sure I sort out STL in advance, at least SOME good came out of it.

At Vienna I got offered €30 by a tout. I declined as rather try and give it away than let them rip someone off. They missed out anyway by the looks of it as there were so many spares going.

I've being buying pairs and trading the spare for a while now. The one thing that bugs me though is paying the upfront cost of the pair, knowing it could be 6 months or more, before you meet your ticket buddy and recoop the cost. It's not cheap booking hotels, flights, etc when the tour news is announced!

I like the ticket pairs for me who usually travels alone. It means I normally find myself a ticket buddy to have beers with as I have a spare ticket. I usually don't have a problem selling them on here with the bonus of finding a need friend.

I had done both, buying a spare for Manchester in 2009 and Dublin in 2010 and selling my spare one for London in 2009 and Amsterdam 2014, however I also wasted Belfast 2010 and Amsterdam 2012 so I'm not really sure, I guess it could be good to be able to choose between a single one or a pair.

I think singles are workable for GA if they continue to offer that option.

All I need is 1 GA ticket and being on here and seeing unwanted/unneeded GA extras being traded for other unwanted/unneeded GA extras kind of sux

Wasted both of my spare tickets for Oslo and Vienna. No one interested even to give away.

    That's crazy and shitty.

It happens though unfortunately!! think of the spares that are being wasted which others could have had in the lottery. I didn't want to waste mine but had no choice - these spares could have made up pairs for other fans who missed out in the lottery.
I would be reluctant to book travel, hotels etc without having firm confirmation from 10c that I have a ticket. People get ill, things crop up and your ticket buddy may not be able to make the pick up. Singles make sense to me - it's not rocket science!!

I'd love if they would sell single tickets, however I have to say I've made some friends from selling/trading tickets that I would not have ever crossed paths with if there was the option to purchase single tickets.

Yeah, i get it. I favour single sales too I think, although I can also see what could be lost if they went that way (the magic of ticket buddies, lol. I have booked flight and hotel before having a ticket because of my faith in finding a 10c ticket buddy). But obviously if tickets are going to waste because they don't sell singles, that is a big point for starting.

I usually ask my best friend if he wants the other 10C ticket if the show is near where we both live. He gets first right of refusal. Then I ask another friend if he wants it or not.

If worse comes to worse, I post the extra ticket on the forum and it is usually gone within a few days of posting. Finding a 10C buddy isn't too hard and meeting them is cool.
