I love how people ignore the fact that it's actually a pretty good song just cus it's mainstream. I mean he wasn't doing one direction or something let it go actually has some substance to it lyrically almost reminiscent of "In Hiding" IMO. But since it's popular and from a kids movie everyone is assuming it's beneath PJ to play it.

got attention for sure. Likely way more than EV ever thought when he decided to add it in. All over the place. Friends that know I'm a fan have been mentioning to me and video made closing story on my local late new tonight.

Who really cares... a couple of lines buried in a tag doesn't make a cover!

They've been trending on facebook for 2 whole days now. And Eddie is #4 on Yahoo. I like that they're getting some attention. I don't think they knew people would talk about it this much. But I like it

Stop holding rock musicians up as your heroes and you'll never be disappointed again.

It's a band. They do what they do. Get over it.

Who cares? It was nice to actually hear something a little out of the box and different. Not my first choice of song, but it was a surprise and wasn't terrible...people need to stop over analyzing every little thing. Don't like it? Stop listening or make up your own dopey band and get as big as Pearl Jam than do your own tag...lol.

dunno...maybe ed is looking for attention. i think i read somewhere that he wants to write songs for movies.

He's already done that plenty. Some great ones too.

This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

It's not a song I would have ever known or liked at all before having kids. I'm not a mainstream music guy, nor am I a Disney guy.

But I'll be damned if the song, and the rest of the album, doesn't get stuck in your head. And like it or not, Idina Menzel sings her heart out...it's a stunning song for vocals. she really belts it out something fierce.

(Not too keen on the other version by Demi Lovato...it's decent but not half as good)

For those who do not know it, or are just hating on it because it's the thing to do...give it a listen with an open mind. Her voice is incredible...and this coming from someone, like I said, who really, really, really is not into this kind of stuff.

Out of all the links you posted.... I was at 3 of those shows.
I think Ed is f*cking with me.

I was at that show in Knoxville and I think I was the only one in my section who realized what he was singing.

I'm glad ed still does this stuff. Its also weird seeing the reactions on the internet. I think most people don't think Ed has a sense of humor.

Yeah, my friend who is not even a PJ fan mentioned it last night. She let me know how crazy huge Frozen is and that when Ed tagged the song it instantly made news. She even heard about it. I guess I kinda live in a bubble since my daughter isn't old enough to really get into it.

As for that Knoxville tag, I didn't really recognize it at first. I was excited about the Pixies tag and my friend goes, "You know he sang part of the Titanic theme too". I was like "no way" until I listened to the cassette boot I recorded on the way home.

I think its funny too that people get worked up over this stuff.

  • The way I look at it is who cares....I dont think Eddie really put to much thought into it. Its also only like 30 seconds where he says it. Its a typical Eddie move. I read a article saying Pearl Jam breaks the barriers between pop and rock. Which just seems ridiculous to me I dont see why this is such a big deal lol. Who cares the band still rocks and will always rock no matter what tags they add to there songs. Now if it was justin beiber or something that would give us something to worry about. But who knows maybe Ed will be doing a disney soundtrack soon. We'll see.

I have 6 grand daughters and they all love that damn song. When they are at my house that movie is on a constant rotation and you should see all six of them dancing around my living room singing.
Good for Eddie! And even better yet....tagging it's ok....my favorite Daughter tag
