Oh and Ed did a little Dr. Dre on Blood. "Bow wow wow yippi yo yippie yay bow wow yippie yo yippie yay"

That is actually from "Atomic Dog" by George Clinton. Ed throws it on the end of Blood quite often.

words seem so out of place.

I think that's George Clinton and not Dr. Dre. Well, maybe Dr. Dre covered the song? And if he did it does not matter because to an OLD-head like myself it's George Clinton and P-FUNK>LOL!!

Looks like 2 GREAT nights in Amsterdam. WISH i was there.

  • All or none... I hope they're going to play it again, in Milan, Berlin or Stockholm!!! I wish I had been there last night! Another great set list!

In 2012 I somehow skipped the 2nd Amsterdam show, and regretted it ever since. This time around I made sure to go to both shows, and am very happy that I did! Awesome shows, both of them.

Great night 2. Different feel watching from the "sky box" 2nd ring high up :-( -night 1 GA was energy to the max. Night 2 more chill, and room to dance.
    Hard to imagine!
    STATE OF LOVE AND TRUST.
just Breathe and daughter - often heard, but more special everytime I hear them.
Bloood--thought this was not coming back as too taxing for Ed's voice.
    But perfect voice on Betterman.
Predictable last 3 songs, but amazing, estatic crowd response - definitelly a great close for great 2 nights.
    Love the energy!

I was amazed about how loud and fast the setlist was.
I didn't expect them to play like that any more especially after the tour last year.
10 songs in a row before they slowed down with Immortality.
It felt like a beast of a show. Totally amazing.
Not sure thow which I liked better, night 1 or night 2

I figured there wouldn't be a show with fewer than 30 songs. The guys must be tired or getting back into the swing of things. No doubt it was a great show though! Has anyone actually found out what Ed's leg issue is?

It's called "Worcester 2 Syndrome", whereby night 2 bows to the pressures of what night 1 hath put on it.

Rain?!? Seriously?!? This band continues to play songs that I sometimes daydream they'd cover. I'll imagine in my head PJ's version of some of my favorite songs of all time, and what they'd sound like. Rain by the Beatles is one of those songs.

Agreed, speaking as one who could only make one Worcester show and chose night 2. But I heard "Otherside" so that was pretty cool.

Did they still play at least 2hr 40min show that they seem to be averaging? Maybe it was only 29 songs but they were playing more of their longer songs (ie no Lukin, Setting Forth, Got Some etc.)? just a thought.

    Dear show-goers:

In case you aren't aware, there is no twitter-like 140 word limit on your posts here. Also, you are not texting your friends, i.e, "Wazzup". "Nuthin". Those of us who WEREN'T there are STARVING FOR DETAILS!!!!!!!!! Fanviews used to be so much more fun to read, with folks giving actual reviews of song performances and juicy tidbits about in-between song chatter, stage antics, etc. C'mon, people, spend 5 minutes trying to communicate! Sheeeesh..

    Social media rant over.....Thank you.

How was the line worked for 10c entry? Understand there may not be a # system for the all-day waiters? Thanks for any scoop… prepping for a Milan, Trieste, Vienna run.

Ed did the Lennon backwards singing during the outro of Rain. I thought that was pretty funny :-)

The atmosphere on night 2 was electric, the whole place was up for a party. It was amazing to see everyone in the seats on their feet singing and dancing.
We stood further back, after the front section being too cramped on night 1 but it was great. But it was a great spot (other than most Dutch people being really tall!) much more room for moving and enjoying the show.
Set was relentless in terms of upping the game - Marker in the Sand and All or None - brilliant. I was surprised at how well the new stuff worked live, not a big fan of the album but it works much better in a set list.
    Brilliant couple of shows.

My wife and 9-year old daughter made the trip from Ireland to Amsterdam for both shows this week. Before we left on Saturday, my wife received a call from her parents informing her that her Grandpa was not "doing well" and would probably not "last long". So needless to say, he was in our minds and hearts on Monday night. Especially when Pearl Jam then proceed to play Sirens, Light Years and Comeback. All of which resonate as truly emotional songs. We left Monday night happy and fortunate to be "in the house" with PJ. After a much needed rest, we then made our way to the Ziggo dome for night two. While waiting for the band to come out, my wife was casually glancing at her phone to pass the time when she says, "hey Justin, look", (points to phone screen) It was an email from her sister in the US that simply stated, "Grandpa is gone." Meanwhile, my little inquisitive daughter who is wedged between us, asks, "What, what, what's going on, what are you guys looking at"? Between her mother's teared up eyes and my concerned look, she knew something was wrong, my wife and I both said, "Old Guy has passed away". So there we were, at a sold out show 5000 miles away from where we were born, all crying before the boys even come out. There are two ways this could have turned out, good or bad. We collectively as a family pulled together to have a fantastic time. The bands energy and raw emotion failed to let us feel any other way. And to be honest, I can't remember a better show from PJ. When they played Sirens and Just Breathe we all looked at each other and knew who words were for. They even played the mother-daughter-father trilogy. It blew my mind. In conclusion, I want to thank Pearl Jam for helping our family through this most difficult time. It's Hard to Imagine - but thank you so much.
