You're confusing me with the non-sequitur. The question was about the Constitutionality, not whether the Congress had the will to do it (although don't forget they did it in 94 for 10 years, so it's not unheard of).PJPOWER said:

Not to mention that it didn’t even come close to only allowing revolvers and bolt actions either. There are plenty of semi-autos out there that have never been banned.

Shooter yesterday was a marine who served for 4 1/2 years and was in Afghanistan. God damn we need to get our vets better help when they get home. I know it is a slippery slope but the guy had just met with a mental health specialist, to me all firearms should have been confiscated at this point.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

You must tread lightly when you want people to seek out appropriate mental healthcare and threaten to take away their personal property if they do so, I can only envision less people seeking mental health care. How many other individuals had mental issues that decided it was time to mow down a few dozen individuals , it's not only the soldiers that need mental help it's thousands of people out here who own guns that have mental issues ...The gun culture in this country has to take a hit on these massacres ...mcgruff10 said:

No pistol grip. No large capacity magazine. Folding the gun in half to reload both barrels.
A while back in this thread, we saw some woman get shot in the face by a shotgun and her injuries amounted to prying pellets out of her cheek (yes... point blank is another story... but you have to get someone point blank to shoot them point blank- it's tough to do with everyone running away).

You do realize that not all shotguns are double barrel that you have to fold in half and there are a variety of shotgun rounds that do different amounts of damage, right?
