Don't know why you'd buy this reissue when the Kevin Gray cut reissue by MOV is still available for $30ish. Levi usually does a good job so I'm sure this will sound good, but to choose a colored variant over a great KPG cut is odd.

What are the mystery singles? Something new, or just leftover singles they’ve already put up for sale.
Where? Not sure what you mean.

Starting today, all Dark Matter Vinyl LP purchases will also receive a mystery single with their order while supplies last.. Additionally, remaining show posters from Leg 4 of tour are slowly rolling onto the shelves.

from the picture in the news letter the single look to be the old ones that are for sale.  But I feel like they always throw in some rare stuff with any mystery type sales

So last year's silver pressed bootleg release for RSD was a one off, I guess? No leg 2, no Euro and Australia legs.

why can they not release archive shows on nugs or on their own website?  doesn't have to be a vinyl option, just FLAC or Mp3.  i don't understand.  so many great shows they aren't releasing.  esp in downtime.

If you click on any of the Dark Matter variants, it mentions receiving mystery 7” or 10” single… so… Fan club singles…?  Those are the only 10”ers I can think of…

What about that "Music for Film" that Mike did? That's a 10".

I bought the Dark Matter records.
I got the email along with umpteen digital copies... someone could do this better.
I see it on my bank statement.

But why is it not in my order history?

Well, that's odd. A few hours after posting this, a bunch of "shipping labels printed" emails just showed up.

It's still not in my order history tho.

I got one of those Music for Film in a RSD Mystery Sale about 10 years ago. It was the one where everyone got one rare and one common..one 7" and one album. I can't remember what my common one was.

I think that was also the same where Leeze got her Benny...not to be confused with the same where the blue fixer(?) got lost in New Jersey.

It can be anything. Surprised all those Dark Matter variants are still on sale. And no RSD Dark Matter made it's way in the shop.

Orders for Dark Matter 12" placed after 2/9/2025 receive Free Mystery 7" Single, while supplies last!

I got my Dark Matter variant today and the mystery single was the 2017 Alive/Around And Around from the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame sound check.

My guess: Outside of completionists and locals, the variants have a low marketability.

Obviously the black, RSD, 10C red/black, crystal clear and the zoetrope are gonna be the most in-demand, but not necessarily in that order.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have tons of the others.

Would like to see their Powerpoint slides about how much of the sales they are counting on, being made up by people buying more than one copy of the album.
