I remember the good old days when you'd read a story like this and everybody in the world would know what country it was happening in. But now that the States have exported their way of life on a bunch of saps worldwide, we get stuck with things like this happening in Canada and other places that used to be nice and easy going spots.

I can see why you say what you're saying here but applying a bit of logic perhaps we should blame this kind of thing on the Brits seeing as the US was founded mostly by thugs, thieves, murderers, outcasts, miscreants, reprobates, rogues, scallywags, scoundrels, ruffians and all around bad guys from Great Britain.

This isn't America exporting this to us ... this type of thing happens all over the world. You just usually never here of it because it not in your neck of the woods. I wonder how many know the 4 RCMP officers were killed in Alberta in 2005.

Not everything is about America ... sick twisted fucks reside throughout the entire world.
So true. Sad, but true lukin2006.

I do feel compelled to say, however, that Canadians including the RCMP are not guiltless in behaving in brutal fashion. I'm reading Paul Watson book Sea Shepherd, the story of Watson's founding of the organization by that name. A chapter I read a few nights ago describes the brutal and merciless pummeling Watson received from RCMP officers in 1979 for his attempts to save baby seals from slaughter. It was despicable behavior on their part and their action very nearly killed Watson.

Another perspective, seems it was possibly First Blood.

I, personally, have no opinion on this issue.

I agree with the others that have already said, "What a piece of shit bog." The idiot that wrote that is on par with those useless women who marry serial murderers serving life time in prison.

Unsung... are you serious? You have no opinion on this issue? You mean like you don't feel that this idiot was a AAA grade loser that needlessly took the lives of innocent people because he thought he was John Rambo?

And what a chicken shit Bourque is. He picked a fight and then tucked his tail between his legs and began whimpering once he realized he couldn't win.
Thirty, I have no opinion on the writer of the blog and his side of the issue.

It is tragic that people died, I don't have extra sympathy for them based on their chosen profession. Unlike the Canadians here who demand that the US change our laws I can't offer the same valuable insight on the Canadian laws on carrying a rifle in public. Of course the anti's will use this as an excuse as to why people shouldn't carry in public, anything to expand their foothold politically. As of right now we do not know the entire story, and we probably never will.

I wish harm upon no one.

i'm gonna blame Obama and Canadian bacon. what you guys say is bacon, isn't bacon, it's ham.

We don't say it's bacon. What you guys call Canadian bacon is still just called ham by Canadians. Lol.

Anyway, glad the nut job got caught. So sad for the families of the dead officers. Glad it wasn't even worse than it was.
