no fig tree , i went to a job with Mr.V (he works in some very huge houses n gardens, mostly 2nd homes :rolleyes: ) they had a load of fruit trees but not at house for a few more weeks , so i liberated some

oohh a tree surgeon.. could use one of those too! My hubby is a tree surgeon too. He amputates and then nothing grows again (he did that to a cherry tree we had.. was two years without fruit after that!

I reckon I might be going to Pistoia on Wednesday. I've just checked flights and train times and I could get from Stansted to Pisa for about £100, and get back to England by 8am the next day. I could just call work and say I've had a family emergency or something. I'll test the water at work tomorrow to see if I get any flak for last week, and then I'll book my flight. I texted Keith and he's got a spare 10club ticket for me.

I've booked it. Just need to think of a good excuse to get the day off work. I reckon I'll just say my mums on holiday - which she is - and the neighbours looking after her cat have said that her boilers blown. Shouldn't be a problem. The flight arrives back at Stansted at 8am so I'll be back at work Thursday.

Can't you self certify illness for a day? Pearl Jam sickness is a catching bug, no known medical cure, best advice is to go sweat it out
