That's poo V. The guy I work with is the same.

Tip... get Mali to write a letter too, in her best handwriting explaining why she wants the other school and attach it to yours. There are a few words/ideas that are always good to use, such as safe (ie journey), comfortable, thrive, etc. Also, don't state 'having her friends there' a reason unless you follow that with your child being very shy, etc. Call the admissions people (not sure if you guys have that where you are), make sure she is on the waiting list/list for the school she wants. They always have lists as a lot of places are not taken in the end. Her current school may also be able to help. I've seen soooooo many parents having to do this when I was working at the schools. They always have lists as a lot of places are not taken in the end.

    Best of luck.

:) speaking of... I also arranged the time that I HOPE suits... Pippa I'll need your help, they'll be delivering between 10am and 12noon on the Friday when I'll be working (I won't be there Thursday, meeting you lot, and wednesday's a bit early)... I made an assumption that you wouldn't have managed to wake Jody up by then :D so you'll have to do me the honours of just putting the frozen and refrigerated stuff away if that's ok? :o cos Rob and Babs will be getting there about 2pm too... so they can either meet ya wherever ya are or they can drop their stuff off and you all head into town together? I don't know if you'd planned on getting up early.

oOOOOooo o thanks , yes I did ring them straight away sounding very "distressed" and asking for help as to what to do ;). yes we are writing the letter now I have got some of those points but not about Mali writing a letter ! great tip. though not shy I did think i'd mention the dental work she is having and about her best friend going well all her friends making travelling safer.!! strongly saying about the non non-denominational bit as the next co-ed one really is miles away. there were 89 kids refused she was 20th not sure if the order is kept, we live 2.51 miles away and the furthest they have let in this yr is 2.35

    thanks Buru
