    Never been a huge Tom Petty fan, all I have is a greatest hits album but I gave the new album a listen and it is really good. Might have to pick up the vinyl.

    Went to bridge school back in 94 with petty, pearl jam and young. Petty STOLE the fucken show and I ended up going to 3 shows of his on that tour. Guys a genius and his performances are the shit! Mr petty is one of the best shows you'll ever see live.

    Finally saw Tom Petty last night in Vancouver...amazing!!!!! I have to say the new album is fantastic front to back, and the response to the new songs at the show were great, especially "U Get Me High"...classic Petty!

    Did people stand or sit the whole show? I plan on standing but don't want to get yelled at from people behind me

    I was in 200s & everyone was sitting. For the encore most people stood. A lot of people left early too.

    It depends on the venue though. This was msg on a Wednesday. It wasn't terribly surprising. The show was still phenomenal those guys are great live.

    Hartford is a great (and much smaller) venue. Plus it's a Saturday night!!! Yea I would expect that to be a great crowd. If I hadn't already bought the fight on cable I would check to see if there's still tickets available to that show lol

    New album is great. They are one of the best live acts of our time. I just wish they changed their setlists a little more and dug deep. He's got soooooo many amazing deep cuts and it's a tad bit disappointing knowing there is a zero percent chance of hearing any of them. But, I can't wait to see them in Houston in two weeks.

    He played two gunslingers at MSG and introduced it as a deep album track, which he was playing... because he wanted to. Ha the into was funny but the song was great.

    I had a great time at Hartford! Winwood was a great opener and I wouldn't have minded another hour from him.

    Tom and the band are one of the best bands I've seen live. They brought it. In my section, everyone was sitting down and I wanted to stand up badly but I didn't want to block anyone's vision. I was thinking of going in the aisle but didn't want to be told I couldn't by security.

    I was so excited to hear You Wreck Me, which is my favorite Petty song. Also, American Girl live is phenomenal and gave me a whole new love to it.
