Southern Ontario is pretty lucky show-wise. They've got many driveable US markets....does anyone think the Detroit show has the highest ticket demand because it's a tourism mecca? I'm in Edmonton ....it has got to be one of the worst locations in the western world for hitting multiple shows....only one driveable major market...and it's Calgary.
I think Hawaii is due for a show....and so am I for a tropical vacation. I'd take a show there this coming winter over a hometown show...but...summer 2015, bring it. They've played Calgary 4 times since 05, Edmonton only twice...our turn.

I wonder what attendance Pearl Jam could draw if they played a free concert on the Canadian prairie, like Alberta or Saskatchewan

The last free show I saw there was Sloan, and we just literally walked up from the side and stood ~25 feet away from the stage right before the show started. It was a great concert.
Ah yeah, Sloan are one of my favourite bands - didn't make it to that one, but they always put on a good show! The last show I saw there was the Flaming Lips - whatta shitshow!

They played Toronto only once on the 2005 tour, so they did 5 shows in Ontario that tour (Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa). They did come back 8 months later and play another two shows in Toronto, so maybe that's what you were thinking. As someone who lives only 10 minutes by bike from the ACC, I'd love it if they played 5 nights in a row there. However, I also understand why they would rather play more intimate places like Kitchener and London. It's also notable that they didn't play smaller places like Kitchener during the 2011 Canadian tour and mostly stuck to the bigger cities like Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa.
I actually don't mind the Amphitheatre when it's a nice day. You didn't provide any explanation as to why it sucks, but I used to work there for a couple years and never thought it was any worse than any other given amphitheatre. The ACC is an acceptable venue for arena acts, but I don't see it any better or worse than the Amp.

They actually played six Ontario shows in 2005. Thunder Bay. ;)

As for the Amphitheatre vs. the ACC I'll take the ACC any day of the week. I hate the Amphitheatre; in fact, I'll actively avoid seeing a show there unless it's someone I really want to see. Admittedly it's a slightly better venue now that the GO Train runs every half-hour. I've spent way too much time waiting on the eastbound GO platform for the 12am departure... ;)

True story: I visited Winnipeg on business once. At my hotel I asked the concierge if there's anything fun to do in the city. He gestured to a coffee table in the lobby and said, "There's some magazines over there if you're bored."

I'd be down with PJ coming back to Winnipeg for a little Winnipeg City Redemption. I'd even try to get up for that.

I'm so on board with this petition. The fact that both Toronto and Montreal were skipped on the Lightning Bolt tour two years in a row is a real head scratcher

    I'm totally down for this.
They've only played 3 shows in 3 years here.
I'm willing to wait until Spring/Summer 2015 for another Cross Canada tour.
Something along the lines of the '05 tour with more shows in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, St.Johns.
Damn! I would do a lot of that tour.
    Better start saving now!!!!
Man..... I wish I could put a Pearl Jam pic in here as my siggie!!!! LMFAO!!

I think there will be Canadian shows next year. don't know if they hit all those places like 05 though, some of those places were weird I went to London, and to Kitchener. it nice that it was a small venue in Kitchener. along with the usual Ottawa, montreal, Toronto for east coast. but I go to usa shows too, and a lot of major city did not get shows for long time now, there has been no vegas show since 2006 which is shocking considering they did the 10 year anniversary show there. id rather they not go to those small places in Canada like London and Kitchener, but just play more shows in Toronto or montreal In bigger cities. besides the pj shows, those little cities like Kitchener is really boring to visit, when they play cool cities though you can do other things when the show is not on, montreal only ever gets 1 show , it be cool if they play 2 or 3 nights in row, and they played Toronto I think 2x in that tour, Kitchener, london, and Hamilton? that 5 showsi n greater Toronto area, it just be better imo to have all 5 shows at the acc or another Toronto venue there, don't know whats good in Toronto besides where maple leafs and nba plays, because that Molson amp venue is really crappy, I saw pj there before too it was good show but that venue sucks balls , I been to over 100 amps outdoors and that one might be the worse one lol that on the lake ontario

Not sure if someone already corrected this, but they also did Thunder Bay on the 05 tour, which makes for 6 Ontario shows.

Anyways, don't know if this petition things carries much weight, but I'm all for a Canadian tour in 2015!

I ve seen pj play in Montreal, Toronto and Kitchener. One thing that was always the same was that the crowds were amazing!!! I d love to head north again and see pj play. Seeing them in Quebec City would be really cool; I heard the city is gorgeous.

plus all the Canadians I have met have been great people, usually with a great sense of humor, and Canada is a beautiful country, people who did large chunks of the 2005 Tour said it was one of their best if not their best PJ experience

Don't get me wrong…I thought Winnipeg was a nice city, and I ended up making the best of my trip (think I should have researched the city before I went up)… But, regardless, I would love to see PJ hit Winnipeg again soon… I will probably have some business up there that I could tie into a trip… (Would also be nice for someone to show me the TRUE Winnipeg, too!) :-)
