Is this all just speculation? Or has there been a concrete rumour about a Canadian tour? In 2005 there were rumours swirling for months; in 2011 Mudhoney tweeted about a Canadian tour before the official announcement; in 2013 we knew about the Calgary show (at the very least) before the dates were released. I'd love a Canadian tour, but...is there anything here??

    In a word, no.
I still remember, in the build-up to the 2005 Canadian tour announcement, reading the rumour that Pearl Jam had contacted the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay about venue availability and thinking that was the farthest-fetched rumour I'd ever hear in conjunction with this band...and then it happened, and I saw my favourite band in my hometown in the building where I learned how to skate. I'd give anything to relive the moment where I saw that tour announcement. ;)

The thing that kind of makes me sad about that is that Victoria gets forgotten. We have a population of about 300k+ in the area (700k+ if you start incorporating the whole Island). They played a bunch of places smaller than Victoria and you have to wonder if we'll ever get a show. I know our Arena is small (7000 people) but they did play some fairly small venues on the Cross Canada Tour. Maybe one day we'll get a warmup show or something. We're only about 80 miles (as the crow flies) from Seattle. One day.... One day I'll see Pearl Jam play where I live :)

I can't recall but there was a past edition of Deep where they actually hinted albeit in an article at a Canadian tour which they subsequently played. The Native American Eagle on the back of this Deep is much like some of The Poster Art and Stickers sold on Previous Canadian tours.

I've got some good connections here in Edmonton and to date there's been no chirps, tweets :-( Unless they have the wool pulled over everyone's eyes, prepare to be disappointed.

You were the guy with the Edmonton date in 2011, right? And that leaked out in February. I remember hearing back as early as Christmas 2010 that there would be a Canadian tour the following year. In 2005 when the newsletter came out in January, Jeff Ament said the band was playing Canada.

Chances are if there were Canadian shows this year, we would have heard rumours by now.

Nobody was saying anything about the Midwest Tour at this time last year, all the Canadian shows will sell out immediately, doesn't take long to setup either

Sure, there is still a chance. They announced the SA tour early, probably because the ticket selling was an absolute clusterfuck last time down there, if I remember correctly.

They played it as Mookie Blaylock play it as PJ.
They could play royal athletic park or Juan de Fuca.

Haha. I remember Rock94 had a concert announcement the day that the '05 Canadian tour was being announced and I was running my mouth to my other friends about it being the announcement for PJ coming here (my friend had involvement in booking them here). At 8AM the radio station announced the Rock the Fort concert lol. Didn't get the official news about PJ until the people on the west coast woke up. Took lots of heat at work that morning lol.

Nothing has been proven but If you look over the past 2005 and 2011 tours Canada easily fits right before South America in both those years along with a few US festival dates also always ending in Mexico City near the end of November early December . If Pearl Jam doesn't come in September they will be breaking a trend. What do you guys think?

they already played Vancouver and Calgary since LB was released. they haven't, to my recollection, in the past done a full Canadian run after already playing 2 of our biggest cities.

True but every new Pearl Jam record release they have always played Toronto & Montreal on every tour. To not play these 2 cities is very shocking. Which I believe there will be a few East Coast Canadian dates, which I'm guessing is in Fall.

I remember few fan's here posting that after Pearl Jam's 2014 USA tour, they are gonna take a long break from touring again. lol. That's not gonna happen. ;)

Not playing Toronto & Montreal in Canada,
would be the equivalent of not playing NYC and Boston or Philly in the US!!!
I'm hopeful for some Canadian shows this fall too!!

they already played Vancouver and Calgary since LB was released. they haven't, to my recollection, in the past done a full Canadian run after already playing 2 of our biggest cities.

True but every new Pearl Jam record release they have always played Toronto & Montreal on every tour. To not play these 2 cities is very shocking. Which I believe there will be a few East Coast Canadian dates, which I'm guessing is in Fall.

I remember few fan's here posting that after Pearl Jam's 2014 USA tour, they are gonna take a long break from touring again. lol. That's not gonna happen. ;)
no toronto yet? I just assumed they had. that's a very good point, East Coast Greek Man.

    Flight Risk out NOW!
