hmm, which side is using benghazi and what is their goal??

well as I said "it just so happens that a Dem house was in the seat when this attack took place had it been a Republican house the Dems would be doing the same thing"
and that's the way it is, they all have their smear campains right ? and the Repub's goal is what it has been for a long time "get Obama out" and fill the house with Republicans so they can better control the working class and their money because that's who pays the bill's"........but really they fuck that up too, as I also said Gimmi politics is corupted on both sides and I'm starting to believe that the dems are the lesser of 2 evil's well as far as my life is concerned anyway if I were W.Buffett who know's ?

    Godfather.

GF. I disagree. The dems and supporters didn't put up as much of a fuss about 9-11 as FOX is putting up about this. As Hillary eloquently stated "4 Americans are dead" find those responsible and go after them. There was no gross negligence or more of a cover up than any administration trying to figure out what really happened. This is a red herring.
"4 Americans are dead" find those responsible and go after them ..........I think this is the part of terrorism that gets out of control, everybody involved in the riot that day is responsible but if we were to wipe that whole neighbor hood or city we would be guilty of murder.....not self defence and besides who's job is to go after these terrorist or rioters because as far as I know nobody has done anything.

what were the names of the 4 victims?

all of you making a huge issue about benghazi had better at least have their names memorized.

personally, i would be sickened if i lost a loved one there and their memory and their death were being used for republican political gain. that is all this is. a charade to damage obama and clinton.

    Here's my take on Benghazi...
It is basically, a break down in security procedures that lead to the over running of the foriegn consulate in Benghazi and the killing of 4 Americans tasked to that diplomatic mission... that has been politicised into a partisan issue to be fed to the politically inept under the guise of investigative journalism. The result being anger by people who base their opinions on what is told to them by television talking heads. People who have no idea where the hell Benghazi is because it's not up their asses... which is the only place they are looking. All they know it that is is directed towards the person they did not vote for in 2008, so it must be a very important issue.
If they REALLY wanted to know about Benghazi, they would review the Congressional Investigation and read through the 20,000 page report to discover that there has ALREADY BEEN a Congressional Hearing on Benghazi.
    ...
If these people understoood anything about politics, they would understand that administrations spin news stories in their favor... whether it be to direct the intent of the attack to be the result of a video against a religion... or making a hero of Jessica Lynch... or claiming Taliban Terrorists killed Pat Tillman. We discover that these stories are made up lies to spin the events in their favor... that's what politicians do. It's NOT right that they do it, but anyone with a clue on politics understands that it happens ALL THE TIME.
    ...
If you want to go after President Obama... go after him about his flagrant overuse of Drone Attacks... or keeping Camp Delta open in Cuba. If these politicians and their minions really want to know about Benghazi... all they need to do is read the fucking report on it. Let's not waste more of our tax dollars on paying fucking ass politicians creating busy work for themselves to make it look like they are working... so politically inept Americans can believe they are earning their keep.

i agree with most of what cosmo said.

except for the part about referring members of congress to read the 20,000 page report. most of them don't even read the laws they vote on. why in god's name would they actually read something when they can just sit back and spout bullshit political theater?

people go after obama over this benghazi stuff because he is the president and it happened on his watch, should we all just forget that it happened becouse obama can't give an honest answer ? sense this guy has been president so many people make excuses for him...it's bush's fault...all the Republicans are racist...bottom line is that he is the president and this falls under his roll of responsability.

No, sir. People are clinging to this Benghazi thing because they are politically partisan shitheads. Nothing else... just partisan politics being played out so stupid people can have something to bitch about.
Again, the attacks at Benghazi Consulate was a failure in security policies and the procedures in place at the time of the attacks. There has already been numerous inqueries and a Congressional Hearing in which then Secretary of State Clinton is questioned on the matters. No one is making excuses about what happened because we understand there were lapses in the security procedures and that the Congressional Hearing highlighted these failures. We understand that the protests in Cairo were reaction to the video, but the Benghazi attacks were not. We know that there were no protests at the Benghazi Consulate and that this event was completely seperate from the other protests in the Arab countries.
THAT... is what makes it a politically partisan deal. NOTHING to do with the events that took place... EVERYTHING to do with what was said on talk shows, such as 'Face The Nation'. The Benghzi-maniacs know nothing about Benghazi, itself (or refuse to accept it) and are only 'outraged' because they hate President Obama to the point where they are ready to pop a blood veing in their necks over it. It is political partisan bullshit.
    ...
The thing FOX News, Tea Party Republicans nas idiot FOX News audience members are hooked on are the talking points... nothing to do with the failure in security and the intelligence community.

one thing we havent mentioned, as far as I know, is the host country bears the responsibility in providing security. Not that that excuses anything or anyone by any means, but US security is/was limited , especially in a conuslate situation rather than a fully staffed embassy. protocol worldwide.

This was a country in early transition and yet again a failure to compensate for the sure to come power vaccuum is/was a problem. As well as the literal tons of weapons unaccounted(as unsung alluded to) for that disappeard in part because it helps continue the cycle of meddleing foreign policy and we "allies" had planes only no boots on the ground.

Politicized and/or fundamentalist religion is a major contributor to violence as well, NO MATTER WHAT RELIGION.

Limited engagement nets this kind of thing. Full blown involvement perpetuates and fuels the cycle of violence. Hands off means unchecked aggression.

    Whats the best move GF?

I vote we learn as best we can from the TOTAL picture( this incident and the bigger picture as well.) and adjust accordingly going forward. Nothing is bringing those 4 back. We CAN try to prevent more deaths in the future. Again, whats the best move?

........I must admit your notion of moving forward is the best and most logical idea and I have to agree with you, if a mistake was made should those involved be held accountable ? I will admit that I know next to shit about this...only what the media has given us as Cosmo has said so with that in mind you are right my friend.

what i don't get is that everything the chairman says he wants to know has already been answered in the prior hearing.

We could form our own investigative committee here on AMT and be more likely to discover something new and/or relevant about this attack than would congress.

it is not a dead story at all when one political party is banking their 2016 hopes on a kangaroo court and the media is obsessed with covering it.

I hope that you have it in you to watch CSPAN live or TiVo it or spend the $19.95 for the CSPAN 6 CD set so you can watch the actual hearings from start to finish and form you're own opinion. Take responsibility for your knowledge.
