Would love to get closer to completing my seven inch collection. Haven't hit up the board in a while. Have a few things to trade but cash can always get you any Pearl Jam goodie you might be in search of... So here's what I'm looking for:

    a single vinyl from the 91-92 sampler set on black vinyl just sold for $1000. 8-}
    I hope the buyer knows that it was for the black only and not the full set.

    I offered that information to the seller and $150 for the record. He declined and obviously thinks he's sitting on a fortune.

    Just because it's rare doesn't make it worth a fortune...

    Someone had one listed on the bay awhile back for something like $3000 for the set. Don't know if it ever sold. They don't come around too often.

    Well looks like the first one sold, and the first one had a 'best offer' option which interestingly doesn't appear now, that suggests to me he must have got close enough to a grand for that one to list the next record for a grand without an offer option.

    No doubt about it, this is the finest seven inch set out there in terms of collectability, and although its a shame to break it up like this, if it works for the seller who can blame him. After all these sets sold for half of what he might get on ebay.

    Just hoping someday these will be on sale @ the Pop Shop. O:-) I mean, they sold the Into The Wild picture disc vinyls and those were never sold in stores or @ the 10club store. So you never know.

    no, boxes were made for it but never used......

    I think that's the subtle difference. Of course I could be wrong. But its possible when the promo was cancelled these sets never made it out of the pressing plant?

    The thing I'm confused is if that 7" promo set shouldn't have seen the light of day, then why are there many copies out these in the hands of many collectors / sellers? The one responsible for distributing these out, does he/she still have their job with the company? It would be great if the 10club / Pearl Jam pressed more copies so fan's would now purchase these, seeing that they have been distributed to the public and sold for A LOT of dough. Only seems right. But that's never gonna happen ...

    So i messaged the seller and he does not have a full set. After this one he has a white one to sell. and he did get $1000 for the black one.

    That's insane! The whole set sold for like $1500. I can't justify that, but apparently someone can.
