Looks like a Honda mower there
my boss bought me a $1200 hydrostatic honda at the golf course. I want my old toro back. the honda moves at a fucking snail’s pace.

They have the best engines though, right? I used to have a Honda mower. Would cut through the thickest, wettest grass no problem. But it always left a line of uncut grass. Had the blades sharpened and everything. I now have a Toro also (at a fraction of that price!) and it cuts much better...just doesn't have the extra oomph the Honda did.
I bought a 21” Honda lawn mower in 2009 and it runs like it’s new to this day. Drain oil in winter. New oil in spring. That’s it. Works like a champ.
I think the problem with mine was their twin blade system. I've read other people having problems with that. The engine was fantastic though.

Your yard is way larger than mine.  ;)
Pool takes up lots of space.

I still don't like mowing it....1hr from start to finish w/trimming.  (Some on either side that didn't fit in pic.)

    F lawn mowing!

Your yard looks like a good one for swimming and hot tubbing. Nice.

That’s a great set up. Getting suburbs (Space) jealousy a little bit.

Great looking backdrop...but what the hell do you city slickers do with such a small "lawnmower"?

We got a zero turn 54" Husqvarna from Lowes 3 years ago. In 3 years and 1 month, I put 443 hours on it and began having problems with the hydrostatic transmission. As I learned, these are sealed units and unable to be worked on. New part alone was $800 plus labor. Repair shops told me to just get a new mower. That was an expensive 3 year rental! Now, it is a 60" Gravely.

    Nice Darwin!

I grew up in VT with a big yard as well and don't miss the mowing associated with that.

So I've been told! How did you know I nicknamed it "yard"?  B)

So, it's 2.75 acres minus the house/garage and the pool/deck. When we moved in, we had a 42" 17hp riding lawnmower. Quickest we could get it done was about 2 hours and 50 minutes. Then we upgraded to the 54" zero turn husqvarna and I could get it done in as little as an hour and thirty five minutes. Today, I took the 60" out (my 2nd time using it) and got it done in 1 hour and 4 minutes! I couldn't believe that.

But you're right, there is a lot that goes into all of that. The weed eating, weed pulling, keeping up with the tree trimming, fertilizing, etc... But, it's my happy place. Beats sitting in front of the tv and playing on my phone. It helps that I've been in super "honey-do" mode lately. I suppose that's about the lone perk of the pandemic.

We had two + acres in VT but there were so many different ways the land made it difficult.  We had about two hours of push mowing and 1.5 hrs riding.
    Sucked for us

(We had a standard riding mower, a Craftsman, that pretty much broke down with regularity.  Got pretty proficient at fixing the busted deck parts.)

Honda is hard to beat when it comes to small engines. I have had one for the last 10 years that is still going strong and has only been serviced once. Just needed the carburetor cleaned, first pull every time.

My troy built has a honda engine I believe.

I buy a new push every 4+ years.  They are cheap.

Don't have a rider - seem to recall you have a good sized yard and a riding mower?

I have the smallest yard of all of you.
I pay to have it mowed.
    Yep.

    I use self propelled mowers.

I used to have a Honda and I loved the engine. The problem was it would always leave a strip of grass uncut.
