You guys see Kari Lake some how, some way, blame Joe Biden for the Calvalcante thing?
I can't believe this fucking guy is still on the lamwww.myspace.com0 -
Johnny Abruzzo said:Don Mattingly was a pretty good hitter for a few years but damn the ridiculous amount of devotion to that guy. "Great defensive 1st baseman!" Who cares. Was he great at defense or am I thinking of Keith Hernandez? It's mostly just standing there and catching balls thrown by the other infielders or the pitcher anyway.

All of this because of Don Mattingly?
What if he worked as a cashier at Wawa and then left for greener pastures at Sheetz? Would Wawa then be dead to you forever?!
I do love the commitment to the bit, though. God bless you

Ledbetterman10 said:Mattingly is sort of a tragic figure. Played his entire career for by-far the best franchise....during their all-time worst stretch (not counting pre-Babe Ruth). And the moment he leaves, they win the World Series. While he's gone, they appear in six World Series and win four. Then, he returns as a coach for the Yanks and they blow a 3-0 lead to Boston in the ALCS. And then two years after he leaves to join the Dodgers, the Yanks win another World Series (2009).
Somewhat funny note: when I was first getting into baseball in the late 80's as 8-9 year old, I assumed Mattingly was better than Wade Boggs. I based this solely on his "Donnie Baseball" nickname. "Well if he has "'baseball' right in his name, he MUST be great!" Then I got a Boggs baseball card, compared it to a Mattingly, and it wasn't even close.
And Boggs was a good hitter. But had Mattingly stayed healthy Mattingly was the better player.I miss igotid880 -

hopefully they get their pitching straightened out real soon! With the exception of Wheeler and a few others, it's not that good.

You guys missed out on the Indy show. It was fucking epic. Also, we had to extend a day due to the flight issues up and down east coast. 🙃The love he receives is the love that is saved0

Lol that sucks man, sorry for your loss. I've heard good things about the Indy 500, but I don't think a PJ show could get me out there.0

So this fucking guy is still on the loose and now he's stolen a rifle from someone...feel as if this isn't getting as much press coverage as it should.www.myspace.com0

I think Gelb gets poached for the Phils, because that's a weak ass lineup for them. I get the feeling he is because outside of doing the basic requirements of beat reporter I haven't seen much from him most of the summer, which is really weird for a sport that is in the summer.0 -
Apparently I just renewed my Athletic subscription. I went to cancel and they offered me another year for $24, through 2025. Whatever.
Really stoked about the PHLY thing.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25
