I get it's hard though, I certainly don't want to be in the position. But some people actually sign up for this shit, so they should know what they're taking on.

One thing I can agree on with people I talk to about the races coming up - whoever becomes mayor, I feel pretty confident that they can't do worse than the current guy.

Looks like we might be in the clear by Thursday.

I mean they knew on Friday and didn't say anything until Sunday, which is really fucked up (edit: no, I can actually understand not sowing panic too early, tho lolz to that by Sunday). And proceeded to go about their communications in a terrible, terrible way.

I went from "oh, hey, what's this article in the Inquirer saying they're monitoring a spill?" (at 12 noon) to getting a text at 1 to not drink the water after 3pm. That escalated....quickly.

Solid trade to get Pache as a 4th outfielder. Can't hit for shit but great glove for late inning sub for dudes like Schwarbs and Nick.

Can't believe the season starts tomorrow.

Well that was an ugly inning. Bohm looks great so far, triple short of the cycle. Still in it though.

Had tee ball practice for my daughter so didn't catch most of it. Sounds like Nola was cruising and then all of a sudden...poof?

They do! My son's playing it in pee wee, and my daughter did it last year.

I like to think I was the pioneer here two years ago haha. They didn't start the program yet, and the only way I could keep them engaged was to implement my own version of quickball.

But, yeah, they're still tiering to tee ball though it's very much still the same problem that Quickball fixes - them not picking their nose and looking at the sky. Here it goes: pee wee (quickball), tee ball, minors (pitch machine), majors.

My nephews started with quick ball. I thought it was stupid at first but it does feel like a good way to get them engaged with the sport early on.

They us a pitch machine? Is that like the first little league season?

Any derivative of the actual game that I grew up with I bristle at lol, so I get it. But, yeah, all 3/4/5 year olds want to do is run around and act crazy. So this helps leverage that way more than tee ball does.

Yeah somewhere between tee ball and regular little league they use both a pitching machine and this sort-of-catapult looking jawn that you pull back and it lobs the ball at them. We are no where near that yet tho. All I want them to be able to do right now is hit a bit, throw a little bit, place the bat down without chucking it, and run the right way on the bases.

Nola & Realmuto were talking about the inning spiraling with the pitch clock and all. But this kind of thing has happened to Nola for years. Just one game - we'll move on.
