I could not pick a MMJ song out of a group of 3 songs.  Any song.  Couldn't tell you if I would like them or dislike them.  If they opened for PJ some time that I saw the show I clearly arrived after their set.  (Which would be typical - except for Ben Harper I don't make a point of seeing the openers, I hang out with folks and drink some more beers.)

I don't know if that's a slight or just malpractice on your part. If it's the former I'd say no reason to continue, if it's the latter - Spotify and Youtube are good starting points.

tried for the pre-sale, but was at work and missed out. Will try tomorrow again for the other pre-sale. Will also be at work so we'll see.

In my latter years I've become a fan of the "find tixx the day of because the price drops" unless JP sells me a lawn seat ticket. Wife doesn't want to go, as predicted, so standing offer for anyone who wants to meet up.

Ha. For plenty of reasons, not sure I'd agree this would be one of them.

MMJ is an amazing band. I celebrate their entire catalogue. Give them a go. You are likely not to be disappointed.

Anyways, just 2 actual seats for the show, so sorry JP I'm out for the lawn seats. Anyone want the 2nd ticket? It's half of $167. CAN'T WAIT!!!

I've also never heard a My Morning Jacket song, so I was a little taken aback when someone referred to them as having hits. A hit, I think, I would've heard.

I liiiike MMJ and have seen them twice, both good shows, but I think they're a tough listen except in specific circumstances.

I've always believed if they came out a decade earlier they would've been a pretty big time band. Maybe not huge, per say. But the 90's would've served a band like MMJ better than the last couple of decades. 

FMe---plenty of great songs to choose from. But if you're diving in fresh, start with One Big Holiday. Given what I know about the kind of music you like, that will probably jump out at ya. I think the Flyers used to come out to that song back in the day, so you probably heard it at some point .

That one is from It Still Moves. Good album. I really like Evil Urges and, might be in the minority, but The Waterfall is fucking awesome (the one from 2015...they just put out a b-side sequel to that last year.)

Their music has really evolved over the years. So Evil Urges and Waterfall will sound a lot different than It Still Moves, for the most part.
