As far as Wheeler getting taken out i was a little surprised. Wonder if he had a no hitter going would he still would have been pulled?

They said his velocity was down. I mean, I'd keep him going until someone gets on base. Guess he's fresher for Game 5?

The bullpen smoke did great - that Bohm is scary as hell at 3B.

Was going to punch some friends last night. They were adamant that it was Stott's fault, and I can't stress enough how dumb they are for having the wrong opinion.

Bohm was credited with the error, and rightfully so. If he puts that throw on the bag it's an easy 5-6-3...ballgame.

Correct. I mean maybe they don't make the double play, but the throw is the issue all the way. My only beef with Topper last night, really, is to have the logic to take out Schwarber for defense, but not do the same for Bohm or Nick. Outside of that this has all been fucking unreal.

Huge to have Nola in this spot. All I wanted them to do is steal one of these two. Good shit.

Thomson said after the game he didn't take them out because they were the next two batters up if the Padres did tie it.

He also blamed the ump for Bohm's play but also though Stott should have caught it.  He said Bohm couldn't see Stott and was throwing towards Segura.  Sounds BS to me but that is what Thomson said.

Yeah I heard him, sounded like a lot of covering for Bohm to keep his confidence up. And I figured the lineup position, but to me you should be playing to finish out that inning. I get it, and at the end of the day who gives a shit.

Snell is going to be a problem. This is The Nick & Jean Game.

Yeah, just making the playoffs exceeded my expectations for this team, honestly. I don't think anyone saw this coming from the bullpen, and the starting pitching has been stellar. Hoping they can ride this momentum.

Good article in The Athletic about Schwarber - he apparently hurt his knee in Houston and it started feeling better on Monday. Nice to have him back!

Ha - he was whining about outfield seats - "not behind the dugout". We're poor slobs sitting in 421 on Sunday *if necessary.

Well nobody said it’d be easy. That’s a real tough loss though. Hard to even do the “Well we stole one on the road” rationalizing because of what could’ve been. Can’t wait for Friday’s game.

Yeah Nola just didn't look to have it - curve was either off or a beach ball over the plate, FB was sitting ~94 when he's usually been up around 96, not consistently throwing strikes, barely threw his cutter. He was trying too much to get guys off balance for outs instead of overpowering anybody.

Need to hope they can start hitting in bunches again. Not enough people in the lineup showed up today, basically was a hole from 5 through 9.

    Harper is a goddamn beast.

Whatever voice I have left will certainly be gone by the end of Friday night.
