I'm just getting into listening to RNDM, and digging Acts so far. Definitely interested in hearing more from them.

"And I talk to you from the cherries in the snow" .... So, so many great lyrics in the album. JA is a great writer.

The cherries in the snow are apparently symbolism for the ever-present lipstick of his beloved deceased aunt (am I remembering that right??)
That is correct! I asked JA about the song at the meet and greet in Boston and that's exactly what he told me!

    Freakin brilliant track.

Joseph Arthur played a show in Philly last night and talked a little about recording the new RNDM album. He was playing a solo show, but most of the crowd didn't seems to be familiar with Rndm. He promise this album will be even better than the last.

The bolded even more reason to type with my face!!! But I don't do that as well as Rockpants, so I'll leave it to him/her...

    Excellentness!!!

Richard seems to be on vacation out of the country now, so I'm thinking they are already done with the recording stage, so my prediction is that we'll see an album before the end of the year or maybe January 2015. :)

Man if that's true they record quick. Wish another band would do that sometimes...

Yeah, they are fast! Everything connected to Joseph Arthur is quick, which is one of the things I love about him. I believe they recorded "Acts" in three days!

With recording that quickly, it leaves them more time to tour Ohio & Michigan this time around!

I recall reading somewhere that they heard Joseph Arthur say RNDM is hitting the studio next month. Anyone see any official statements on this?

Joseph and Richard have been posting things on Facebook about RNDM for at least a couple months now, hinting that they've already been in the studio, or at least doing some work on a new album. It seems like they are at the very least slowly working on an album when Jeff has time between tour legs. I expect a new album announcement in maybe December or something? It takes a good 3 to 5 months just to get a record pressed these days (lack of presses with a growing market), so unless they're doing it already in secret, a new album won't be available until perhaps February or March.... all just speculation of course! But definitely coming soon, what with the Facebook posts.

There were pictures posted & talk of them being in a studio in Montana back in March or April.

Maybe one that the PJ tour is over they are getting back together to finish things up.

As I said before, I can't wait to hear the new album & see them live somewhere in Cleveland, Detroit, or Toledo! :D

Somehow missed out on RNDM the first time around... won't make that mistake again...

My buddy still thanks me for taking him to see Tres Mts with McCready for $13 a few years ago @ the TLA in philly. Great show!

By the way, another great Joseph Arthur collaboration to check out is Fistful of Mercy with Ben Harper & Dhani Harrison

Not my favorite Joseph Arthur work/collab, but definitely worth a listen! Ben Harper does back up vocals for him on The Ballad of Boogie Christ album. It's a really cool little touch to an outstanding record.
