so i saw them last night. I wasn't originally gonna go cause of the prices but found a cheap floor ticket on craigslist for $50. Pretty awesome show. First opener was DJ Koala Bear (or something like that) was ok. Dan Deacon than came on. He was pretty awesome. We had dance contests and all Arcade Fire came on around 8:50 or so and played for 2 hours. Nice variety of songs. Highlight for me was when the covered "Motownphilly" by Boyz II Men )
set: Reflektor (instrumental outro tape) My Body Is a Cage (stripped down snippet; just … more) Reflektor Flashbulb Eyes Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) Rebellion (Lies) Joan of Arc Rococo (w/ Lady Gaga's "Do What U Want" snippet) The Suburbs The Suburbs (Continued) Ready to Start Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) We Exist No Cars Go Haïti Afterlife (w/ New Order's "Temptation" snippet) It's Never Over (Oh Orpheus) (Régine on B-stage) Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) ('Damian Taylor Remix' intro)
Encore: The Twist (Chubby Checker song) (Fake band on B-stage) Normal Person Motownphilly (Boyz II Men cover) Here Comes the Night Time Wake Up
Nice pictures. I'm trying to avoid reading the setlist because I want to be surprised. Good job on finding a floor ticket for $50. I am always reluctant of buying tickets from secondary markets because I don't know if they're real or fake.
So far I've heard mixed things...the Groupon offer really makes me do a double take since that's usually a last ditch attempt to garner some sales.
I know what you mean. They're probably popular in some US cities, but not all of them. In Montreal and Toronto, they're doing pretty good. They sold out Parc Jean Drapeau and they will play two shows in Toronto: first one is sold out, 2nd one still has a number of tickets/vip packages.
There are a TON of tickets available for the Houston/Woodlands show. I am pissed, i got presale tickets and there are still a bunch of seats better than mine available. I imagine the lawn will be closed. Interesting considering the singer and his brother are from the Woodlands/Conroe.
It should be a hell of a show regardless.
FYI - I had shitty seats for the Woodlands via the presale (107, row T). I just looked online and all the tickets they were selling up front for 300+ each have dropped to normal face value. I called ticketmaster and got them to exchange my tickets for 4th row, center. I did not have to pay anything extra. So, for anyone going to their shows, look and see if "trading up" is possible. The first time I called Ticketmaster, the sales agent basically told me to fuck off. I called back and the second person traded them without hesitation
After seeing them the first weekend of Coachella, I lucked out and got into their secret show at the Roxy last night. Awesome to see them in a place that small. While the set wasn't all that long, I was excited to hear 3-4 songs that they didn't play week 1 of Coachella like "You Already Know," "We Exist," and especially "Month of May," which I haven't really seen on Reflektor tour set lists. Good night all around. Now debating getting tickets for when they come back to LA in August.
Won via 98.7's new morning show's twitter. When they announced the show and that they'd give away tix throughout the day that morning, I followed them and a little later on, they said they'd pick 5 new followers so I tweeted them saying I had followed before the announcement on air and I was one of the 5 they selected.
KC, I don't know anyone with better luck than you. Awesome stuff! Glad for you to got to see them at the Roxy show. Did you happen to get any of Aaron Paul's Pizza?

Ha. Thanks! Hope the luck keeps rolling. Aaron Paul was definitely true to his word as he pulled up to the line in a black SUV and handed out 3-4 pizza boxes to people in line. Group right behind me got one but I had just eaten in Hollywood before getting to the venue. My mistake.

That is cool. Too bad you already ate, but hey, now you know. Back in early February, I've won an advanced screening (probably the world premiere) of Need For Speed, starting Aaron Paul. It was a terrible movie in my opinion, but the only good thing about it was that Aaron Paul and the director were there for the screening (and a Q&A). Actually, it was for two nights, but I only attended the 2nd one because I won it just hours before the first screening and Aaron Paul wasn't in attendance because he was apparently unable to make it (which I was unaware) but I did attend the next day. Though following the Q&A, he and the director were swarmed by bodyguards as they were leaving.

What time is arcade fire going on stage? They start at 7:30 here with two opening bands so i assumed 9 or 9:15. Can anyone who has been give me an idea about when they have been starting?

They were on just before 9:00 for the show I was at. The opening acts are just DJ's, they didn't go very long

Really?! DJs?! No wonder Arcade Fire were still able to take the stage shortly after two opening acts. I would have thought that they would start, at the earliest, 9:30 PM. But if they're DJs, then the 2nd opening act must to have started immediately after the 1st opening act ended his set.
I pulled up the three arcade fire set list I went to in 05, 07 and 11 At every show they played: Wake up Power Out Rebellion Neighborhood 1 Tunnels Neighborhood 2 Laika No Cars Go Intervention Haiti

I'm doing 3 shows at Barclays and am wondering if I am going to see the same show? I am really hoping that James Murphy shows up to play!
I don't think you'll see the same exact shows. They mix it up with a couple songs here and there from show to show but nothing crazy like PJ does or anything like that.

It was a great gig yesterday, I'm so happy I finally got to see them live. And it didn't rain.

Can't wait to see these guys again in a couple weeks. Saw them on the 1st date of the tour in Louisville back in March....crowd was kinda dead and the upper level was closed off. Looking forward to seeing them at a packed United Center...
Just got back from the Second Night at Barclays - great show (though I probably liked the 2010 MSG show better). I did not dress up! Here are some photos:

Pumped for tonight. Already thinking about getting tickets to tomorrow night's show. It looks like they have been changing up the setlists somewhat so it definitely won't be the same exact show 2 nights in a row.

Solid 20 song setlist.
They did a cover of that "Hot, hot hot" song with the original singer Buster Poindexter. Was not expecting that!
Great show. If you are on the fence about them don't be. Great live band and they can play!
Two more nights!

Was hoping to see James Murphy of LCD but got David Byrne instead. Still pretty cool.
The last song Wake up was played by the horn players as the whole band walked through the crowd. What a cool way to exit a concert.
Great show and great band.
