Really digging the new album. Three listens in and it keeps getting mo betta each time. The atmospheric sound contributes to the album's cohesiveness which plays wonderfully as a whole. The Ray/Yim pairing makes for some lush, beautiful music. Favorite track so far is Wouldn't It Make A Lovely Photograph0

Hope this is just a one time thing. The show I'm going to isn't until August, but I have awesome seats and I'd be heartbroken if it was canceled.ComeToTX said:Cancelled his SXSW performance tonight.

What an INCREDIBLE show last night in Columbus!!!
Ray came out and played 6 songs by himself...
Then he brought out "The Jacket Boys"...
they ripped thru the whole Ouroboros album and 2 encore sets as well!!
GREAT show and we got a sweet poster by Columbus artist Clinton Reno too:

Regular edition was $30
It looks like there were 100 available last night:
Not sure how many were signed...but I bought a signed copy.
I was one of first people to hit the merch stand and got #24
so I'm guessing maybe 25 signed out of 100 total.'96: Seattle: Key Arena

I'm a huge My Morning Jacket fan so listened to the new album yesterday after learning it was produced by Jim James. I really enjoyed it on first listen and will probably give it another listen today. I don't know much about Lamontagne other than the songs Trouble and Beg Steal or Borrow, both of which I enjoy. What should I listen to after Ourboros?
He's playing here in September - depending on how I like the rest of his stuff I may have to check it out.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -

His last two albums have been a departure from his previous stuff… It's two different worlds in a way but it all still works. Every album is beautiful in its own way (depending on where you want it to take you)…. Ray Lamontagne is the man...Better Dan said:I'm a huge My Morning Jacket fan so listened to the new album yesterday after learning it was produced by Jim James.
