I gotta get me a copy of champaign... 'cause i keep hearing about it. This is kinda rediculours, but I at first avoided it because it opened with DTE. Sorry, but for me, sometimes a show can nearly be judged by the opener. For example over the last few tours have we seen a shitty show that began with Oceans? Ok, that's kinda a moot question 'cause you may hate Oceans. I guess what I mean is, the rarer or more technically good the opener is, the better the should could potentially end up being.
I don't mind DTE, it's always decent and pretty rockin' etc. But I could never imagine it being an opener. I'd rather take like Of The Girl or Can't Keep or Sometimes or Long Road. Ok, I'm picky.
I couldn't agree more. Even though I was at the show so this might sound biased. But when they opened up with DTE that just set the crowd off and that is the best version of Fortunate Son on the tour. I have a lot of boots from that tour but that one just sounds great. They were on fire that night.

Sammi: Wanna just break up?
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2
Where can I get this show? I tried to download it in The New Download/Share Thread, but it came up as an error and said it was not available. Anybody got a link?
Amazing shows ... best crowd ever
1996 - Randall's Island II 1998 - MSG I
2000 - Jones Beach II & III 2003 - Uniondale, MSG I & II
2006 - E. Ruth I & II 2007 - Lollapalooza
2008 - MSG I & II, Hartford 2009 - Philly IV
2010 - Newark, MSG I & II
But I think I will go with Buffalo as being at the top of the lot. Nearly TOO many covers... but all are played wonderfully. Start to finish, it never faulters once. Well-played common tunes, and well-played not so common tunes. My favourite I Got Shit, that leads so well into Even Flow - not THE most badass Even Flow ever, but long and solid nontheless. I could go on, but i won't bother. I wish i could'a been there anyway.
The Mexico city shows ARE good and energetic, yes, thanks to the wicked crowd. At the same time though, there's something about some of the performances that seems kinda rushed (well, other than the fact of course that at this point, the tempo of everything was maxed out). But yeah, definately not to be overlooked.
I know Dallas isn't popular to the masses here, but Here are some highlights to why I love this show:
Alive as an opener (Crowd went nuts!, and it signaled a special evening).
Brain of J (It makes sense to play that song in D town)
Arc was played (number 2 of 9).
Crazy Mary was played. (I understand that multiple concert goers are sick of this song, but I like it, and seeing Mike and Boom jam was amazing.
Daughter (Ed mispelled Dallas for the Tag, and of the girl was the tag!)
Crowd sing along to Jeremy (see my sig)
The wmd joke, that made us think there were backstage passes under one of the chairs) (Ed said, Has anyone found the WMD" yet taking a jab at the Bush administration. LOL!
Great crowd full of nice people. I had a cast on and they gave the security hell at the end of the show. PJ fans rock!
Hopefully people agree with these reasons.
EV Solo: 7/11/11 11/12/12 11/13/12
I'll second that. I'm definitely biased cause I was there, and it was my first concert, but it does genuinely have some of my favorite versions of certain songs. For example, Evenflow is awesome, Mike is really on fire. I think his 03 solos are possibly the best, and this one is no exception. Also, Porch was incredible, with Stone and Mikey trading solos it was really off the wall. Crazy Mary has a nice long jam with McCready coming in at just the right time, it sounds perfect. You Are, well, theres something about how the play it that night, good backing vocals, and the drums and guitar solo at the end just work. Save You was incredible with some nice bass and drums, Ed really screaming his heart out. I really like the version of Betterman from this concert, good drumming by Matt with a mean Bonham-triplet fill, and also the tag is kind of short, but Ed just really hits it with SIFL. Like Metsy said, Know Your Rights was just blistering, and RITFW was done to perfection. Also, some people may not like this, but during DTE in the encore, Ed's mic blows, and you can hear just the band play for about 30 seconds at the end of the song, and I always kinda liked that. It just sounds pretty cool with, and shows how professional these guys are. One little fuck up, but they kept going. Anyway, the show was amazing and I could go on, but I'll stop.
