I'm a mechanical engineer and I deal with manufacturing (not exactly vinyls), but I don't see any problem on pressing 2000 copies on vinyl and the plates on the press deteriorating, if the plates are cleaned right between the pressings it should be ok for some million copies. What really makes it more expensive to th PJ colectors is the fact it's number 10, so as the first PJ album, that might be a good reason. BTW good luck selling it, I'd be glad if I had the money for it, but I have some other priorities at this moment in my life. So I didn't bought it when the Benny was pressed... Damn it! Gotta do Something to buy one of these, lost it the first time, and probably will not buy one one for now either
11/4/2011 São Paulo - Brazil (amazing, best friends together on it)
3/31/2113 Lollapalooza Festival - São Paulo - Brazil - (Did it in the midle of the crowd with a broken and immobilized arm due to a motorcicle accident)
With regards to the pressing and numbering process:
I think it was Munk One that stated in actuality, the print numbered '1' is actually the last print... and simply the first on top of the large pile of printed posters.
I cannot say with absolute certainty that number '2,000' on any limited edition vinyl pressing/poster print is actually the first produced... but it does stand to reason that it very well might be.
I doubt it'll go for $1900. With the recent surge in available copies from the popup shop a number of them have been going for around a grand on ebay lately. I don't think I've been any copy go for 1900 or 2000. I think they peaked around $1500 and have fallen last and year this year due to the additional copies from the pop up shop. OP is asking way too much. I doubt the lower number really matters to buyers....
Benny price lowered to $1900. Trying to raise money for Joey Eakins' sex change operation. He already posts like a little bitch, but I guess he wants to look like one too!
Also a cheeky dude by the sounds of it! Good luck with the sale! I'm sure a wealthy PJ fan will pick this up at some point!

All class. /:)
Really? Guys can take shots and make snide comments, but then make reference to comments made in retort as classless?
You wrestle in the mud... you get dirty. There's no 'high road' to take so... c'mon, man.
Guess I offended the OP's BFF.
For the record, I hope you make your sale. You have an awesome collection, sorry you had to break it up.

No offence taken- I don't even know the guy. And he didn't need any defending- he seemed to handle himself perfectly well. Very humorously in fact.
I was just pointing out the fact that your post never accounted for the typical stream of comments that generally tend to provoke a guy to lash back with a snide little quip themselves as the OP was compelled to do.
Yeah, no shit. I had no idea that a lower number made a $700 - $900 difference in price. Is the actual vinyl numbered?? If it's just the jacket that's hand numbered, I don't see why the number should make a difference. Just a question OP, I'm not criticizing. I'll trust that this is how the market is treating the lower numbers. I just don't get why. But good luck selling it!
