Damn. I know low numbered stuff goes for more, but I've never seen one numbered this low being put on the market…really curious to see how it turns out. Good luck to the seller, and congrats to the eventual lucky buyer...
Bump. Just out of curiosity why would you care if it was # 10 or 1910? They all sound the same right? I've never understood that.
I've heard it said in audiophile forums that the earlier are better quality as the specially cut master (or whatever it's technical name is) deteriorates after so many pressings. But I have some high numbered Ltd. pressings that sound just fine to me so who knows..

Do we even know they are numbered in the order of being pressed? I had always imagined they were made by the manufacturer, shipped to 10c, and then numbered without any reference to pressing.

How does a metal plate master deteriorate? That makes no sense & certainly wouldn't be good for the resurging vinyl industry to say that later copies are somehow subpar in sound. I'm certain #10 sounds like the other 1990 + copies.

I don't know "how". It could be it's the analogue master tape that deteriorates when you have to play it multiple times to create new stampers. It's just a theory - it could be total myth as far as I know. But the myth is widely popular since early pressings nearly always sell for more in the after-market. Also, do you really believe or trust that the "industry" would tell the public things like this? I certainly am not laying this out there as pure fact - just pointing out a widely held belief. You are right - one should sit down and listen to #10 and #1990 back to back and see for one's self

Benny price lowered to $1900. Trying to raise money for Joey Eakins' sex change operation. He already posts like a little bitch, but I guess he wants to look like one too!

Maybe that group that organizes the 'Holy Grails' for (?)' can assist with this?

All class. /:)
Really? Guys can take shots and make snide comments, but then make reference to comments made in retort as classless?
You wrestle in the mud... you get dirty. There's no 'high road' to take so... c'mon, man.
I realize it's all about the free-market and I understand how valuable the Benaroya vinyl apparently is and how limited the copies clearly are. I realize also that no one forces anyone to buy, sell or trade anything. Still..it just breaks my heart that this place seems to feel more & more like eBay every day.
Bellosjam..I hope that you get what you ask for this item. And to whomever buys this item I hope that having it makes you as happy as some of my Pearl Jam related items (Posters!) make me. I wish no ill will toward anyone. I am just sad...
The price is relative as are most things in life I guess. I bought this vinyl from the 10C on eBay as a charity auction item. Someone can investigate the eBay sales history but I payed around $2800 for it. The $1900 price it's at now isn't a profit grab at all. As you can see from all of my listings over the last week, I'm just in a position that I need some cash.

Don't explain yourself. You don't need to. You can do whatever you please.

man, it's your stuff, do with it what you want.
I was just commenting that I think it's crazy someone could spend that kind of cash on a piece of vinyl when there are other bills/debts in life... but hey, there are people out there that can afford it, guess I'm just not one of those people.
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

guess that's not going to cut it yet, is it?
(for the record, that price is fucking nuts. $2k for vinyl? I'm gonna go pay off my mortgage instead, anyone who can justify that price is loony.)
