FT: SEVENS vinyl f/ ten club unopened for BEN HALL vinyl

edited January 2014 in Lost Dogs
Anyone want to trade their Benaroya Hall vinyl for an unopened brand new SEVENS vinyl pack from Ten Club?

It can be opened, just has to be in playing condition. I could throw in some money as well if needed. Looking for someone who would like to part with one and get some new vinyl at the same time!! I'm in Los Angeles. Can throw in a shirt from N2 in November as well! This is a deal.. I think.

    Yeah good deal for you!
Having tasted, a life wasted, I'm never going back again!
  • What a smart ass. I wanna be clear I'm not trying to screw anybody here. Did you not read where there was money offered as well? And if it's such a good deal for me, tell me what I can do to make it a good deal for both. wtf

  • Had no intention of doing it when I ordered. Only came to mind when I saw how much people would stupidly pay for it. I have some good pj vinyls, but I'm not gonna pay an arm and a leg for one. It's one vinyl I don't have that I would like, so if anybody wants to trade somehow, I'm up for it. I'm not looking to profit off this, I just put Ben hall above sevens. How does it ruffle feathers if I'm offering a trade?

Just for comparison, OP, I traded my 7's for a sealed riot act and an opened but unplayed PJ20. Good fair deal for both? It's all subjective, who knows. Hopefully you get what you want, that would be sweet and I'd question my decision making too!

And while there are people searching for it and forced to pay more just to spin this, it seems that a huge amount of sevens ended up to others with only intention to flip it and trade it. Nice...

  • I only got the 7's vinyl cause after waiting for my LB vinyl after it's release, I realized I never actually ordered it. I think I got a phone call or something happened as I was ordering, because I distinctly remember putting it in my cart. I'm not selling this bad boy. I wanna open and play it, but I figured I test the waters for a Ben. That's the one I've wanted a long time, but again not shelling out 800 for a vinyl.

Of course, as with every item they sell- that's nothing new. I spin my records by the way and needed RA and PJ20, but already own LB and the replacement LB. I planned to get what I needed for it. Sue me. Better to trade an make two people happy rather than sell it on the bay right? I figured it was ridiculous to own this silly box set if I have no jukebox. Still can't understand why someone would want to flip a record over every 3 minutes- especially if they already own the album. Makes no sense unless the person is a collector though, in my opnion. some people will spin it, some wont. A song on each side is good for someone who needs excercise I suppose.

It's probably best to not imply to your potential trading partner that they're being stupid for what they're doing.

  • WHO CARES what the peanut gallery thinks man. Good luck on your trade and don't worry about the haters. Your better off selling it on ebay and using that cash towards a Benny. There are people who bash people for listing market prices, but yet bump their friends threads when they do the same. I hope you land the benny and keep your head up.

You're better off just ignoring people then coming up with this nonsense...

"Ben, the two of us need look no more."
"Ben, the two of us need look no more."
    Whoops, wrong Ben... AGAIN!!

P.S. The title doesn't make any sense even though everyone knows what you're asking...

Spot on. Anyone who bought it did so for it's collectibility. There are no b-sides. There is no practical reason to spin 6 singles vs. the LP.

I'd take just the vinyls. I want to spin the Ben. Saw where somebody had just the vinyls for sale without cover. If that's what's offered I'd take it in a minute. I could never resist the urge to have one unopened all these years. Wish is been in Seattle for the shop. Heard they had bennies there for 350 or something.

So what? That's what the Lost Dogs forum is all about. In a trade everyone is happy and all items go to good use by 10c members, so i do not see the harm at all. What is up with all the thread crashers on lost dogs lately? This board is for buying, selling, and trading. If the free market offends you, what are you even doing here?

I bought it for playing, not collecting. I am looking forward to being able to play just the songs i like in the order i like best. Or listening to my faves five times in a row.... and never hearing Future Days in the context of this album ever again. :D I am not sure why some are having trouble with this concept, and instead think these singles have to be played in order and they are meant for listening to the whole album or for jukeboxes, and if that's not being done then the item is useless and is therefore only for collecting/profit. That makes no sense.

But shit, if i could get a Benny Hall for Sevens plus some cash I would do it in a heartbeat!

Exactly. Ebay is the better course sadly. You may get lowball offers and minus 10%, but no drama. And i'm sure half the ones complaining would have them for sale/trade also.

Well, i still like the lost dogs forum. most people are cool - the crashers are a minority i am willing deal/debate with. i have gotten WAY better deals on this forum than i would ever get on eBay. And if i were.selling, i would simply want to sell to a 10c member b/c i consider them friends kind of, even if i don't know them. that's better than selling to random strangers (plus, you can't make trades on eBay). :) There is still a lot of kindness and generosity on this board.

  • They had the Benaroya Hall vinyl for $350 at the pop-up. I didn't see any Bens or bennies. If they did have any bennies (whatever that is), they would have probably have spelled it; bennys.

OP, I'm with you. You have something you want, and lots of other people want. You also have some other things you want that very few people have. Why not offer it for the 1 thing you want. If nobody that has that thing, wants what you have, you will have the pleasure of STILL owning the thing you wanted in the first place. Works for Me.

I would love to have a Beneroya Hall Vinyl Box Set. I would even be willing to trade my Sevens for it. I'm not offering my Sevens for it, so I'm probably never going to be able to make that trade. I'm OK with that. If yours works out, I might try it also, but I'm pretty happy where I am right now. As I assume you are.

For some people that will never be OK. Too Bad.

Or maybe all these responses are from people who have Benny's, and are insulted by your offer?

  • I don't post a lot (obviously) and I don't claim to know all the "rules" here. I usually try and get some good pj stuff and go about my business. Recently my vinyls have grown and I am missing one so I thought I'd try here.. But I've come to realize that some people get it and some don't. Through the advice of other fellow 10 club folks I'll post another to see if anyone wants to trade. Hadn't counted on anybody being pissed that I made this offer. Are you just supposed to come here and post "I need a BENAROYA HALL VINYL TEN CLUB LP PERFORMED BY PEARL JAM ON 10-22-2003 FOR STRICTLY MONEY"? I mean really. I appreciate some of the more experienced understanding what I was hoping for. Hope someone has interest in this trade so I can listen to a Bennie (Ben, BH, Bhall, Benaroya) whatever you want to call it. If not I still have my sevens. Lordy

This thread has actually got me thinking about what kind of trade deal i can work out for a Benny. I always buy PJ stuff with the full intension of keeping and playing it, but for my #1 holy grail, Benny Hall, maybe i should think this through more... Sevens + a red LB might just get me the one PJ album that i covet most.
    Anyway OP, good luck. :)

Yes all things gonna end up to good use by 10c member , only he will have to pay multiple times the original price. Yes the free market offends me sometimes but on the other hand I didn't know I need your permission to be here and express my thoughts.

If you're referring to me I never bumped a thread like that. If you mean the Eyejacker's stockholm shirt thread, the guy is offering his half collection for a t-shirt , don't you think this is different? On the other hand all the people who were bitching about the Sevens sale, started posting how they tried to get 2-3 pieces from Amazon sales, I suppose that's still free market and I shouldn't talk about it...anyway...my best wishes to all for 2014. Now I have to go bump my friends' threads

You don't need my permission, and i am not supressing your right to an opinion... i don't think i said anything suggesting that. But i do find it odd that you are on lost dogs when you are opposed to the free market and the buying and selling and trading of merch, all of which goes up from its original value because it's all collectors items. This must be a very frustrating place for you to be. ;)

At any rate, the benny halls were originally what? $40? Cheaper than a Sevens if i'm not mistaken. I am still not sure how anyone could be opposed to making trades, particularly. it is the fairest form of exchange, no? Either way, all "blame" for high prices or what appear to be lop-sided trades rests on the BUYER, not the seller. The buyer is the one who sets the price. If buyers wouldn't pay so much, nothing would go up in value.

I think that there's a difference between something that's on the market for 10 years and something that's was sold 10 days ago. For example the pop up market Benny's. Someone queue for hours to get it in an affordable price just to spin but soon he finds out that someone was queuing just to flip it. What do you think about that?
I like to hang out in Lost Dogs cause thank god it's not always like that. But yes sometimes it gets frustrating for me. Anyway, have a great day :)
