Picked up an extra at the pop up that I ended up not needing. If anyone wants it I'll send it for cost + $10.00 for USPS priority so $125+$10 = $135 shipped in the U.S. Can have it in the mail tomorrow.

    I saw those at the pop up shop and thought they were a bit pricey considering it was reissued with the exact same discs in different (and better) packaging?

    Do the originals still go for that much. I kind of thought 10c was overcharging for them.

    Not really - some have sold cheap this year - one even went on eBay at $51 ... I'd guess market is around $75-80

    They were a little pricey, but so was everything else I guess. The market certainly has come down, but this is the 1st edition that was going for just stupid money for a while. I just have an extra now and want to unload it, if there aren't any takers I'll just hang on to it for future trade bait I guess.

    God bless man, I can't believe someone hasn't snatched this up! The original packaging is outta sight! People were going nuts for these - got up to like $500 or more during it's heyday.

    People were paying that much because there was no other way to get a copy. The original sets were limited edition. As soon as new sets came out the floor dropped on them.

    It would be the same for Benaroya. If it got rereleased I doubt people would pay a grand for one. Most people would make do with the cheaper alternative. Collector's would still want the original, but the extra copies would drive down demand, as there would be a cheaper alternative for all the poeple that want it that aren't collectors.

    I also disagree about the packaging. It looks cool, but it looks like it's designed for a cd (the dimensions of the packing all reflect the dimensions of a cd jewel case). I almost liked the re-release better, except it's in DVD size packaging... lol. They tried everything but bluray size packaging.

    I'm in the same boat btw. I picked up a spare copy of Vault #3 for $150 at the pop up show. I was going to use it for trade currency in the future, but now everyone tries to offer it up. There must be so many copies of it. I'll end up holding onto it for a few years when we have some fresh faces in the forum who weren't around to get in on the original sale :)
