I'm still waiting to decide on which ones I want to download. But I really want to download the second Boston show.

Any other one's you would recommend?

I like Boston 1 more than Boston 2.

    Albany was also very good.

Out of the ones I downloaded, here are the best shows:

    1. Grand Rapids - the forgotten show, apparently!!
    2. Boston 2
    3. E. Rutherford 2
    4. Toronto 2
    5. Chicago 2
    6. Cleveland
    7. Albany
    8. Chicago 1
    9. D.C.
    10. Toronto 1

    New Albany
    Grand Rapids
    Cleveland

    to do list:
    Cincy
    Boston2
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
  • I've listened to all the boots on Leg 1 and I went to 5 of them as well. New Jersey 2 was clearly the best show because of the energy of the crowd was fuckin nuts and the band was tight. Plus look at that setlist. Anyway, NJ2 was the best show on Leg 1 BUT it is not the best bootleg. I think the best bootleg(s) of Leg 1 are Grand Rapids and Camden 1.

I think Camden 1 is the forgotten show. Camden 2 was better, but people said the crowd sucked blah blah blah...are you kidding me? I walked out of that show thinking it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Crowd was nuts!

But on Leg 2 I have only heard Pittsburgh and that was an amazing show.
    2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore
  • I have downloaded everything but DC, Boston 2 and the Minneapolis shows.

The best ones that I was at:

Cleveland (Only time Thumbing My Way was played on tour so far, Better Man opener-Porch first set closer,Smile, U, no Evenflow (very rare)) Best PJ show I've ever seen out of 17 !

Cincinnati (LBC, Present Tense, Leash) Eddies rant about the Rolling Stone cover

Pittsburgh (Better Man/Daughter(WMOTH)/Garden/I Got Shit/SOLAT) One of the great string of songs I saw on tour. Also Waiting on a Friend !!!

Camden(Wash/Go opener, Grievance, Satan's Bed, PARACHUTES!! (Even though Eddie loses the last verse)

Detroit(In Hiding, RVM and Porch in the same night!!!! And of course, COME BACK)

The best ones I wasn't at:

Toronto I & II (The beginning of the journey)
    Boston I (Sad, Forever Young)

Every show is worth it if just for Eddies monolgues.
Hail Hail the lucky ones, I refer to those in love

Toronto 1, Cleveland, Detroit, Cincy. I attended The Cleveland, Detroit and Cincy shows, the crowd at Cincy was the best of all three, but the set list at Detroit was amazing, PJ played for 2 hours 45 minutes, just amazing, the length brings me back to The Boss and The Who which are known for marathon concerts. Also downloaded The Gorge from 05, can not attend this year, next tour will be going for sure, it seems they really put a geat effort into that show.

I got the shows I attended: Grand Rapids and Pittsburgh
    IMO:
Grand Rapids has the better set list
Grand Rapids, I think, is longest concert of the tour (if not, someone will correct me i'm sure). Anyway it's 3 discs.
    Pittsburgh has better audio quality

Grand Rapids was the absolute most awesome show ever, for me. Will that translate in the boot for someone who wasn't there? I don't know. Even e.v. commented at the show something about "you'd have to be here to believe it."

I don't think either is the best set list from the tour, but both were awesome shows and I love listening to/reliving them.

    Hope this helps, good luck.

I'll only download my shows that I've seen (so, Chicago 1+2).
I'd feel upset to hear another great show and not have been part of it.

I really do need to see another show though...

I just downloaded the Grand Rapids bootleg on the advice of this thread and HOLY $#%@ it's awesome. Goes to show how great a PJ show can be when the audience is into it.

Yeah, I'm going to add that one to my must buy list too. Everyone on this thread is giving the show alot of praise and a friend of mine downloaded it and said it was great as well.

I think Grand Rapids and Boston 2 will be my first two that I download. I'll get to Pittsburgh and a couple of the other ones later. Money's kind of tight right now.
  • I just took a look at the East Rutherford set list and damn they are awesome. I'm definetly getting one of those probably the second night first.

Thanks for the all of the replies.

I have all of them. Listened to LEG 1 only. Grand Rapids and Cleveland stand out as sleepers, everything else was solid; and no, I didnt go to those shows. "Thumbing my way" in Cleveland was the best version I have ever heard. I have listened to that song over and over again. And the Grand Rapids show was a total improve show. Maybe I am pissed because I STILL havent heard leash live, but now that it is so overplayed, I dont mind never hearing it live.

    Been to and downloaded

    Hartford
    Boston 1 +2

    also downloaded

    Grand Rapids

count me in the camp of liking Boston 1 more than Boston 2, the main set for 1 i think is superior though the encores may be a bit better in Boston 2.

Either way both kicked ass :)

  • Second Boston show.
The crowd are pretty good for a US show.

I got a bootleg of the Astoria show too, (that's what a GOOD crowd sounds like!) but that doesn't count I guess.
