Psshh.. whatever! Without a doubt last night's crowd was the most RABID crowd I've ever seen at any concert in my life, and thats quite a few shows. Also, it's not the band's fault that between the parking lot rules & the curfew, Mansfield has become the worst venue in the US.

If the set list was a little lackluster, the crowd MORE than made up for it. The place was packed to the gills! I thought the crowd was even a little frightening.

Speak for yourself, Mr. Bad Speller. I'm still thinking about last night.

You spelled was with 2 S's

You spelled "mookie" wrong. Whoever "mookie vedder" is.

    You spelled scammed wrong.

You used a wrong synonym in your last sentance. It should be "seen"

Yes maybe it was the worst, but your babbling cancels the significance of any opinion you had.

The matter of setlist is purely relative. I've been reading the bitching about setlists long enough to be irritated; it's a selfish venture. I'll bet you my house that setlist was exactly the one that made someone's day

yeah, i certainly had a good fucking time with my random tenth row from center stage seats last night. they could have played 'one note' a hundred times over and i would have loved them still for that opportunity to be where i was.

Actually it did make someone's day- MINE. I really don't know why people bitched about the set list, to be honest the whole vibe made last night possibly the night of the summer for me.

Plus I parked in the pay lot & got to tailgate without being hassled.

Yeah- but that is not new for Hartford. There are usually near-riots after the shows.
Mansfield is newly into the police-state thing.

    I'll say this..

Setlist was good, energy was great, but...
Show was SHORT... band started 7-8 minutes late knowing the curfew was so strict...

So while the setlist was good it was incomplete (which is evidenced by the fact that Porch and Indifference were supposed to be played after Alive)...

I think that's a fair thing to say, but that's just me :)

some nerds around here only judge setlists by the number of rare songs that get played. its their only criteria of what makes a good setlist. kinda sad when you think about it.

Hmm, I was thinking more along the lines of TROLL.
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
  • How can any Pearl Jam fan say that any Pearl Jam show wasn't any good. You my friends are not fans.I'll take any songs they want to play.I live in a backwoods spot in Va. and try to catch at least one show every tour.I'm always driving at least 4 to 6 hours to see them and it seems like I always drive back home that night and hit work the next morning.Everyone has been crying about the Va. Beach show as well.I thought it was great.Mansfield had to be great too, because it was a PJ show.I'm not even in the ten club anymore,my reasons being I feel all the poser fans are getting good tickets and selling them.I know they are because the tickets I had for Philadelphia in 2005 came from one of those posers. No I'm sorry for being harsh about that, its probably a little less than half of the ten club members that are fake. Most of you are the real deal.

If you were able to get into the show on time with your 10c tickets I would not complain about the set list (I was in the Hartford ticket line and missed 30 minutes of the show due to a poor distribution system and a lot of NY traffic). Any show is a good show as you never now how many more years they are going to do this.

I did feel that some people were hypocrites when Eddie was asking for the band's fans to do something good for the environment and they all cheered.... then you go into the parking lot at Hartford and it was full of trash. I won't mention anything about out of control fans after the show.

I've been to 33 shows (34 after tomorrow's) and jaded fans can kiss my ass. Just enjoy the shows for what they are. Last night was like Albany 03: short but sweet. RVM was a piledriver, the Betterman cheer was just insane, Once rocked, we got a few obscurities like Off He Goes and Lowlight...for the love of god not all shows need to be 3 hours long. Last night was fun as hell. Tomorrow will rock.

Last night did not suck...it was just short. Deal with it.

Yes... hartford is the worst venue by far I've ever seen a PJ show at. If Pearl Jam's only new england show was in Hartford ....I'm pretty sure I'd skip it. (Although when the time came I'd probably cave.)

Right there with ya on this - it was awesome. They played hard. I was second row and RVM killed - that strobe jam at the end is bloody mindblowing. Once. I was rocking so hard to that one he threw a pick toward me, which I couldn't find till too late (couldn't find it, some other guy came down the first row, reached under the chair in front of me and took it), but it was thrown to me which was the cool part. But yeah, honestly I've NEVER seen a bad Pearl Jam show, and last night was my 28th or 29th. Immortality, Come Back. Some great tunes.
